Beau2018 Posted March 20 Posted March 20 Hello there recently bought a spares or repairs 2018 Honda cb125r, starting to regret it. not a lot online that I can find about them. I got it as stolen recovered someone had tried to nick it. Bought a new ignition barrel fuel cap ect. Changed that then realised fuel pump nozzle was snapped so that has been changed. It had a black 2 pin connected with a connected plugged in with both wires crossed. This was causing the ignition fuse to blow when pushing electric strart. After some digging realised it is for the starter relay. I now have one but still dosnt try to turn over relay just clicks once. I don’t have a proper battery on it just jumper pack atm so could be not enough power? Am waiting for a battery for it. The connector for the relays is like coming out the side of the bike under where the frame is which didn’t seem right. Just wondering if anyone knows where this should actually sit (the starter relay) i messaged a bike breaker who was selling the starter relay and asked where its located and they just replied under the tank Iv had a look but cant see where it would sit with out being in the way. any help appreciated any photos or anything would be good or link to proper detailed manual not the 30 page online one Quote
RideWithStyles Posted March 21 Posted March 21 There is only two spots- under the tank is quite vague but sort of correct, it’s side of the frame near/next to the airbox close to the centre of the bike Or its placement will be very close to the battery. off memory it will have a rubber sleeve around it with a slot, then slips over the top thin plastic tongue Or sat next to another relay. 1 Quote
Beau2018 Posted March 21 Author Posted March 21 Yes it has a rubber band type around it with the slot on leave but just can’t see where it would go lol. I’ll have another look Quote
Beau2018 Posted March 28 Author Posted March 28 Isn’t anywhere on the bike I can see where it would go. Have taken a fair bit of the bike so k can see all the wires properly Quote
