Can I insure a 600cc as a leaner for my mod 2???

My DAS course has booked my Mod 2 test for June, but I’ve seen some earlier dates available at another test centre a few miles away in early May. I have a 600cc bike, but I’m not sure if I can get it insured just for the Mod 2. Any advice would be massively appreciated. Thanks!

Someone may come along and correct me, but as I learnt, until you pass mod2 you are still registered as a learner, only entitled to ride up to 125cc, so cannot insure a bigger bike to ride. Under DAS you are riding with a instructor and their company insures the machines you learn on and your instructor should be accompanying you to the test centre

Someone on here said they found a way of doing this, but I can't find it  now.

If I remember right, one of the mainstream bike brokers were able to arrange insurance, and they had a friend who rode the bike to the test centre so they could ride it for the test.

Realistically it would be better and cheaper just to use/hire a training company bike.
