Well it looks like it's gonna be pissing it down this evening now, but fingers crossed it holds off

Posted

Seen the forecast too. If it is, or it looks like its going to piss down, count me out. I don`t mind getting wet but my new baby`s not used to it........yet.

Posted

Haha I know what you mean Neil, when you get a new bike, you dread it getting dirty or wet for the first time, after that it's ok

Posted

If i'm down there, it will be in the car.

I wasn't that bothered when mine got wet for the first time...trouble is, having it through the winter seems to have started the corrosion process already! nevermind....what's the point of keeping them inside in the dry?!

Posted

i might be there briefly, two wheels or four depending on how the timing works for me. a quick bevvy and then i'll probably be off though.

Posted

ok i will be there from about 5.30-6.00, but I can only have a quick pint or pint/burger and then i've got to be offski as I have 'community work' to do this evening (not the kind that you get from being naughty)

oh, and i'll be in the car :( :)

you lot sure went early, I got there about 6.45, passed a couple of bikes on the way (I guess they may have been someone, couldn't tell, it was dark) - noone was there! well, apart from two police motorcycles who came in and then went. saw them three more times before i got home!

Saw you Nman at tesco fuel station on your way out... next week eh? be light until 7.30 ish.

Posted

Yeh I called about 6.40 but everyone was just leaving

Posted

Oh, Sam rang you Ash and you were still at home so I thought you`d not bothered. Not too sure if you were turning up either Dave. Need to get back cus of domino finals night.

8-)

Next week deffo, weather dependant of course.

Posted

It wasn't that I was still at home, Id just got back from work, had told sam I would be there between 6.30 - 7, but not too worry

Posted

i was in my cage. I don't trust the fuel gauge anymore....i was driving for about 10 miles with it saying "0 miles left". a bit like top gear....

seen the fire at the three horse shoes in abbots ripton? that caused my diversion and thus having to do the fuel lottery....will it run out or not?!

Posted

Possibly Ash, if the weather holds out, but it`s not looking too promising

Posted

yeah man, the weather aint looking too special tomorrow, might now give it a miss and go to the pub instead.

Posted

yeah, should think so, will be there from 8 ish, meeting Tom. might row first, but if the weather's shite enough not to bike, then I wont row in it!

Posted

Won`t be about Tuesday but hope the weather holds for the rest of you and you can get over to the marina. Will be about the week after though 13th so hopefully meet up with a few then.

Posted

Anybody going today? weathers meant to be good all day

Posted

nice to see a good turn out (did many more turn up once i'd left?)

heard a few bikes all night whilst watching arsenal get a lesson in football.

next week eh...if weather is good, there'll be hundreds!

Posted

I`ll be there tomorrow night around 6.30, anyone want to meet up at mine and ride over in convoy ????

Posted

I'll be rowing from 6 tomorrow, so doubt i'll make it down at a reasonable hour if at all.

How are the new boots nman?

Posted

You obviously went over to Taz then yeaterday :D Bit stiff but they`ll wear in and give a bit. Go great with the new leathers ......if that really matters. Sidi are a great boot and worth the dosh

Posted

Yeah, me and Sam went up there in the afternoon. Nice blast home taking a very long detour via the back roads! My next investment will be a nice white shoei helmet me thinks, either that or a set of rowing oars, which are v. nice!

Girlfriend lives in Chatteris, and we do love a bit of Hartford Marina for their 2 for 1's!

Unfortunately I work in London so spend weekday nights in Essex ... a tad too far to go. If ever I am up that way on a Tuesday (which is a rarity), then I will try and pop along for some grub.
