Shoei Raid 2 - I want a dark visor for it - help!

so just got a Shoei Raid 2 lid, its the mat black one. I want a dark visor for it for the coming summer

what do i buy? a pinlock dark strip thing or a proper dark visor?

Up to you mate, but if you just get the pinlock the sun will beam round the sides and still get in your eyes... Best go for the whole visor with a clear pinlock to stop misting.

Go here and you will be able to find the one you want. Reasonable price, and I have never had or never heard of a problem with their service or products.

i've got a tinted visor with clear pinlock, best option i think.

i use racevisors - very good. do official and other aftermarket visors, good range for shoei. and you get a free visor pouch

Shouldnt need a pinlock with a dark visor as you usuallly put a dark visor on when its warm outside so no steaming up of visor.

I have a clear visor with clear pinlock for rain and winter and a dark visor for summer (days).

Oh and racevisors.co.uk are great, never had a problem with them either

Only problem with irridiums is they can scratch real easy.

I have heard about people not misting up in summer... Mine does though. Guess that must just be me though!!

True, iridium gets damaged very easily. Thankfully not scratched mine yet and it's been about 8 months since I got it!!

really mark? my blue visor never scratched but my black one has

the only issue i had with race visors was when they sent the wrong colour visor, contacted them and they sent one that day and just said return the other one and we will cover all postage....

i use mine all year too korbs. not just you that steams up

my brothers iridium scratches easily, the mirror finish one is a bit less fragile

got an OE Arai visor and visor pouch for £35 delivered

as for iridium it used to be only a coating on the visor so scratched and peeled off easily i think they have improved it over the years as its more hard wearing

no - take em out as many times as you like. so long as you fit them properly they're fine

you can take them out but i couldnt be arsed to do that everytime you change visor...

what lid do you have? can you find a pic online and post it then we can see what visor would look best

Possible to swap em mate, but removal and insert are a time when a visor can easily be broken. Plus the pinlock has a film on the inside which helps with the misting.... Would be better to get one for both visors.....

One thing mate...... Dark, Irridium, mirrored visors are NOT street legal.... Get a visor bag and always carry your clear one around with you. It's a good bargaining tool should a cop pull you about it.

Most are ok though as long as you ain't dumb enough to use them in bad weather or the dark.

Should i go for the Genuine Shoei visor or the TT replacement visor?

Shoei Black doesn't come with free visor bag, but the TT Black does plus its cheaper.

not sure if TT quality is good though? anyone like to comment?

The TT one is probably thinner and more prone to smashing... Big stone, smashed visor, plastic in eyeball!!

Get the Shoei one mate... Great quality.
