Just joined the forum and noticed you guys mention the meet up and race event, just passed my test 2 weeks ago and looking to take my new bike out on the road for a trek. Mind if I join you guys? I will be coming from Newport in Shropshire.

Hi Ant,

no need to ask! Of course. We'll be at the cafe at Towcester from 10ish onwards and be leaving there 11 - 11.30 ish so turn up when you're ready. I'll PM you my number so you can give me a shout when you arrive or let me know if you're on your way. There should be 4 or 5 of us at the cafe then a convoy up to Mallory to meet a few more by the sounds of it.

I got home about 6.15pm... the others will be on the road for a wee while yet

Was a good day in the end. The weather was very wet up to Towcester and whilst we had a brew.. The opinion at the time from all of us...

Feck this for a laugh... ain't going all the way to Mallory to spend £12 to stand in the rain.. However the weather brightened and so did the mood, and we all headed to Mallory to see what happened when we got there.. Lady luck was with us!! It was dry (ish... )!!

Mojo had had a missed call from Monkeyass (aka Ant), who now knows to let us know he's coming so we waited a wee while... but headed into Mallory eventually...

A brew, and then off to find Mr Marv himself.. and somewhere to leave our lids

Ant showed up eventually

Some exciting racing filled the day!

As always good to see everyone and meet some new peeps too!

nice summary Dan! Weather was a bit poo, even considered hopping in the car to get to Towcester! Biked it, but visor kept getting completely covered every time I cleared it and decided I'd probably be home at lunchtime. Decided to head up to Mallory with the others and it dried up quite a bit. Good day in the end.

Good to have Roy and Ian to ride back with to Towcester, made the run seem a bit quicker in the drizzle.

Got in at 7. Just put the cover on the bike fully expecting the sun to be shining tomorrow so we can all go out and play again!

Good to meet Ant (monkeyass), see you again soon!

I got home about 7, had to stop off for some petrol .

Thanks for letting me come along guys, it was a great ride out, the weather was a bit rubbish in Towcester, Leicester was fine though, the racing was mint, good racing from Marv and a few good crashes........ I mean bad crashes. Those side cars were hilarious , definately brown trousers time .

Must be something going on in the south east lol, as soon as I crossed over Birmingham it was blue sky's and the sun was out . Top day, great to meet you and hope to see you all again sometime in the near future.
