Guest
As fossil records suggest that my bike first appeared in this country just prior to the Jurassic era, I was thinking about getting my whole breaks stripped and re-assembled, and my local dealer only use EBC pads, are they a bit poo generally then? Spose, while I'm at it, as anyone tried sorting the uber-soft OE fork springs and shocks on a Zeph 750?I've done my homework, and I know they were very soft even when brand new.. I was thinking of non-adjustable (it isn't a sports bike) Hagons at the rear, and probably Hagons at the front with tighter fork valves...And.... lastly, I promise... What do you reckon is the stickiest rubber I'll find? No track-days, realistic day-to-day riding. I'm not at all fussed about wear - just want lots of loovelly grip and good wet-weather performance too... BT-O- something or others? Thanks in advance for any pointers! Guest
BT020 or Avon ST would be my choice, good all round tyre,i have Avon's on my XJR and get around 6k out of them As for brake pads EBC HH in the front with braided lines you will stop on a tanner Hagon progressive springs in the front with some heavier oil will stiffen it up for you
Guest
Fortunately, it had braided hoses when I got it Its got Avons on now (can't remember which specific name.. starts with a Z... funny name, anyway, I digress..) Think I'll plumb for the BT-020s... The existing avons aren't too bad, but I've noticed they're a bit skitish in the wet... I'll follow your advice with the HH & hagons too Cheers matey
