I've found that most girls like it and hardly any blokes do. I couldn't care less about the blokes not liking it.

I just like to have a bit of a laugh on ride outs and always get waves from kids/familys etc. Also had my picture taken by people in cars before.

Lol, oh I love mohawks anyway and whenever I see someone with one of those mohawk thingys that you've got my mouths open for about 5 minutes and I seem to say 'WOW!' everytime! Haha, it's rather odd!

EDIT: I haven't got a black visor, it's clear... just reminded myself to look in the accessories bit to see where to get me a black or iridium visor

Is it legal to have a black or iridium visor? Just wondering because I swear someone told me they had to be clear. I'd really love an iridium one though

No you can have whatever colour you like so long as it lets in at least 50% light and is only used in daylight. Now go and get that iridium one (but remember to change it to the clear one at night)!

Your Caberg V2 has the internal visor which works on the same idea

All you need to know here Gem..

 

• Tinted visors, if used during daylight hours, advice only, if used during the hours of darkness or conditions of reduced visibility consider prosecution using ‘Tintman’ equipment where available.

It is acknowledged that there is much debate about this issue and many variables and anomalies can be applied. Therefore a pragmatic approach is necessary and only in cases where there is an obvious danger should prosecution be considered.

Basically, yes they are pretty much illegal if they don't let enough light in, but if you wear an illegal one and get stopped be nice to mister Police Office, always carry a clear one and don't get caught doing anything really stupid while out on the bike and you will be ok 99% of the time.

I wonder if they do the external one as well. Thinking about it maybe it'll be harder to find an external one because they might just think "well there's one on the inside, why'd you need two?"...but that won't stop me looking

so how can u guess at how much light is coming through? and i recently saw a fog city attachment for a lid with pinlock capabilities that gets darker in the sun but is clear in the dark. anyone else seen/heard about it?

I use Hyperoptics not as effective as a tinted visor.Takes the glare away but can sometimes look a bit hazy when they get older,mines been in a year.Got to be carefull when you clean them to avoid scratches.Dont rinse under the tap even tough they are glued in,water gets between.Youll end up using the missus hair dryer for an hour bending the visor trying the dry it out i did.

Bit difficult for the average joe.... You will find (Normally in the small print) if a visor is road legal or not... If not sure ask the dealer.

Yeah, I have a legal tinted visor, but to be honest it's not brilliant... Still find I struggle with the sun in my eyes... Have not used it since I got my mirrored visor...

I rode with my tinted visor home today almost arriving at sundown, its not road legal apparantly but i can see more through it until it actually gets dark than I could through a clear one at night!

But I needed it as am riding directly into a setting sun, so road legal or not its safer!

I have a bit of a collection of lids, now there's a suprise; Arai's, Shoei, there is even a Simpson Bandit in the loft somewhere

Here is my current fave though, might take a pic of all the others, just so you can see how much of a magpie i am (but I dont steal them )

AGV GP Pro...this thing is as light as a feather, and sooo comfy, think it matches my leathers and the blade well too
