Hi guys, Im new to this whole biking thing, been driving for years and years. Only been on a motorbike once when I was 5 :?

I have a bike theory test booked for tomorrow since its pretty straightforward and the test centre is so close, then I'll be booking my CBT. Main reason for this whole post though... Do I need any gear for the CBT? They say to bring boots that cover the ankle, but is that it? I know you can borrow a helmet, but clothing wise I only have jeans and pullovers. Probably not the safest thing to wear on a bike. Do they usually have jackets to borrow or should I go out and buy a bike jacket? If so, can anyone recommend a cheapish one that actually works?

I would give them a call and ask. Some kit you out completely, some dont.

Mine had helmets and gloves... so i bought some cheap boots, went in my jeans, and bought a cheap textile jacket.

Ebay has loads of stuff, thats where i got mine from... here are just some examples..

You could just wear walking boots/work boots or summat similar... Good luck :)

Just be aware that some schools will send you home if you turn up in a pair of slip-on trainers or tracky bottoms.

Guidelines:

Don't dress like a chav for starters!

Wear some decent footgear

And some half decent keks
