Ideally looking for info on tank protection.

I don't just want a tank pad, but the protection that goes from you up the tank, and also round the sides.

Don't want my paint work going dull.

Any advice, hints or tips appreciated.

Take a look at Baglux tank covers, they look the biz.

That's what I was gonna suggest but I couldn't remember their damn name!

Well done Pete!

I've seen one on a Blackbird and they do look good!

Hmm thanks, but I don't think that will add to the look of my bike that one.

Is there not some clear protection that sticks on ?

Appreciate that though, so thanks guys.

That just looks like a tank pad mate.

There is some stuff you can get that goes down the sides of the tank as well as up like a tank pad does.

Thanks anyway.

Yeah it's easy to fit. Make sure you line it up properly before sticking any of it down as it's very, very sticky stuff. Also try to make sure you don't get any air bubbles under it. I thought I had put mine on okay but a few air bubbles have started to appear now, nothing major though, it's not falling off or anything.

Borrow a syringe, suck the air out.

Yup... pin prick and press out bubbles :)

Not tried syringe, but it would work :)

Also... dont rush the job... nice clean surface before u start... inside if u can.. little specks of dust cause bubbles... best bet to get a woman to do it

Have tried syringe, it does work :P

Also, spray dilute washing up water on the surface first, use a credit card as a squeegee to press firmly from the centre outwards, expelling air (and washing up water) as you go. The water allows you to reposition before you squeegee, and helps to expel air.
