    Is it cheaper?

ffs as if car tyres are going to fit on a bike!!!
  5. If the ministry can prove it wasn't working at the time of the MOT obviously a cut wire wouldn't but a blown bulb could have been
  6. It's usually the rubber that's perished in the tap that causes this Have a look to see if you can get a rebuild kit for it
  7. If it's their it has to work You may need to remove the full housing to get in it its not something I have had to do to be honest all my bikes have a tail tidy and no light!
  8. there is a guy here in Hull called unique leathers and I know a few people who have had work done by him and he is supposed to be really good I have seen leathers made shorter and longer by him and you would think they came out of a factory like it!! I had a price off him about a year ago to alter mine as they where a bit tight (i think the shrunk ) he was going to let the sides out on the trousers and jacket move the zips on the legs as they rubbed on the tank and change all the blue leather for gun metal grey and was going to charge £80

both are actually tyre companies although I find round and black the ones to go for
  10. who told you that! S lot of twins run hotter especially the rear cylinder due to the lack of air flow! Trust me I know! Mine gets red hot
  11. copied from the above link this is only a bit of it there is loads more happy reading
  12. Always test it first as the symptoms could be something else without testing your guessing and could end up costing more in parts
  13. If this lets you read it without having to login then have a good read this works for all bikes not just the TL it was done on http://www.tlzone.net/forums/frequent-t ... hread.html
  14. I will be at some club racing at cadwell that weekend
  15. yeah a big arse hangover
  16. IMO they are all as easy as each other some bits are tricky on certain ones some aren't just get the bike you like and learn to do the servicing on that bike I have worked on all the above bikes and for general servicing I can't say any of them was harder then any of the others some might argue that the SV been a twin its a twat to get to the rear plug/plugs (depending on the model some have two plugs per cylinder) but in reality its not that hard to do
  17. Speed doesn't kill...... It's the sudden stop Anyway yeah its power that's restricted not the speed but you need power to get the speed which if you change the gearing too much it would just struggle and probably not even gain anything With the sprocket advice above he may gain about 5mph maybe 10 if he is lucky
  18. No with sprockets you can buy them with more or less teeth for gears like 6th gear in the box you would have to get it made If you put a smaller rear sprocket on then you will alter the gearing of ALL gears not just one this means it may struggle to pull away a little but it should pull away ok
  19. read here on how to fit them viewtopic.php?f=32&t=48166
  20. Never had a problem with any ear plugs I have used There's a thread on it on here already with instructions on how to fit them a few members have found it really useful and not had a problem since they learnt how to fit them right
  21. Your not putting them in right if you think they are shit or they are coming out I have a set of mould your own but the foam ones are far better
  22. Read my reply above You would have to get one made like all other bikes! Hence why it would be too expensive
  23. a lot of guys do it with the TL's and I have known it been done to a few bikes infact I used to work at an engineering company that used to do one off jobs for this sort of thing thats how I know its not cheap one off jobs used to cost in excess of £300 with all the gear cutting and hardening process
  24. for the money it will cost to do it its not worth it at all a cheap fix is a smaller rear sprocket maybe 2 or 3 teeth or a larger front sprocket 1 tooth doing it this way will alter the gearing of all gears although it may be harder to set off in first gear
