  1. I’ve ridden one, and most likely that’ll be the last one I’ll ride unless forced
  2. Had a loaner BMW R12T the other day, and it confirmed my ever lasting suspicion that I wouldn’t like a boxer engine. yes it’s nice when you’re going slow, but idk I missed my inline 4 constantly.. and when I got it back I really appreciated it even more. what ruined it more for me with this bike - no fuel gauge or rev counter either but I guess that’s “retro”, it does look quite nice though.
  3. 8 year old bike recall (2016 S1000XR) for a oil filter that might come loose at speeds after 12k RPM any gear above 12k RPM is past the speed limit in the UK and most countries
  4. UGLYBROS bags are quite close to Kriega bags, survived a lot of rain and other conditions
  5. Why are people on fb so r*t*rded.. they think picking up some gravel in the middle of your tyre means the rest must be chicken strips. Photos for reference.
  6. I was gonna say, I went to them for the good price. Closest by one does it for £150 without the ceramic coating, 190 with…
  7. All Year Biker gone? - site is suspended.
  8. I came out of the eurotunnel, and thought I’d take the “scenic” route on the seafront - I very quickly changed my mind after 10 mins to get onto the motorway instead
  9. I need to re-acclimatize to speed limits... Germany has ruined me. Might have to change bikes LOL
  10. Thank you - Every single part of the trip was perfectly fine except the initial one to Toscany, I would not sit on the bike 20+ hours again right after a full workday. Next time will add more fun bits in, this time it was mostly transportation with a little bit of twisties in the black forest.
  11. Back in the UK - added 3.5k miles to my bike And it's DIRTY... it was perfectly pretty until having to go back from Netherlands to UK.
  12. I send it every day, more careful if warnings of ice but dual carriageways usually remain perfectly fine. It's the roads towards them that you have to watch out for. Haven't dropped my bike due to ice or snow since riding in 2019. It doesn't help that I do not have any other transportation method. Might be my cycling skills from having to cycle 40km every day no matter the weather from 6 to 19 (If I had to ride on residential roads most of the way, I would not be riding my bike when there's ice warnings around. Snow is fine as long as the road has cleared and no rain.)
  13. I used a very cheap Rhinowalk alternative from Aliexpress, for 2 10L bags next to my 30L kriega tailpack, biblical rain in Italy and everything was completely dry. These 2 10L packs cost 8 GBP each, and with the real one in the middle - you would not be able to notice the separate ones weren't kriega.
  14. Jesus Christ, do we know if he was stopped or was he flashed?
  15. From online reading - it actually seems Swiss tolerate it more when it's warmer, and depends heavily on the area - South OK - North not OK Also I think the fine would 60 CHF vs potentially 200-320 EUR in Germany if they were to slap you with the book
  16. Initially I did stop in the q to the tunnel, then I read +- 180 min tunnel on the sign. Instantly started filtering..
  17. Filtering illegal in Germany, and I actually see them waiting while I zip past. Cannot be standing still in 25C straight sun lol, I was ready to pay the 100 euro associated fine if needed - Same with the Gotthard tunnel in Swiss motorbikes waiting for the whole 90 - 240 min wait in line. Just done Siena to Groningen - bike didn't skip a beat.
  18. The NAV 6 gave an actual top speed of 159 mph whereas the speedo indicated 165
  19. on the way to Netherlands now but left late, so thought I'd do a pitstop this time. Tested my speed on the autobahn before finding a hotel. Did not realise that I was in the Black Forest and thought wow why does this random town have such nice twisties.
  20. Very nice mah man - straight into the lovely British weather
  21. No - that would’ve taken me over the time limit…
  22. Then only pebbles so had to put it on the centre stand on a manhole cover… hopefully all good
  23. Arrived, 1100 miles to Toscany in 22 hours - don’t think ever felt more dead
  24. Looking from most of the active members here, you’re almost the only one who isn’t going / has gone somewhere in the last few days
  25. See where we end up before stopping…
