If I had the low seat (870mm) I’m pretty sure I could’ve saved it, I was so so close but just had to bail out before my foot got stuck underneath it

Failed Mod 1 Again - Anybody Else?
peepae replied to coldphoenix1's topic in CBT, Test and Advanced Training Information
They do say Mod 1 is the harder one because it's such an unnatural setting. Nr 4 will be the charm, when do you have it? -
Yep… seat height on this one is 895mm, I can just flat foot the Africa twin but not this one… insurance didn’t allow me to get the 1100 AT though

I vote myself as nob of the day. still getting used to the height of the GS and always taking my butt of the seat to put a foot down - setting the scene: a road I don’t know very well in Brighton, steep hill with a light. Massive amount of pot holes. car in front of me stops abruptly even though the light is green, I brake hard, haven’t had time to check the ground, I go to put my foot down, the ground is not there and it’s straight into a pretty deep pothole - my foot hits the ground I can feel I’m unable to keep the bike up and down it goes in slow-motion.. Only some bar end damage luckily, I have felt uncomfortable with hill stops on this bike so need to practice it I guess.

At my work, you don't get promoted, you always have to apply to other jobs - it makes me hate being here because it means that sometimes an external candidate has become my boss. I've had to explain technical things too many times to a "technical" manager. All because I am not a great interviewee and, they have to base it 100% on the interview process...

Confusion with my A2
peepae replied to JackEdge's topic in CBT, Test and Advanced Training Information
The good thing is, you will never have to do a theory again, even when you get your A. The bad thing is, you will have to do at least 4 more tests to get an A license. -

Goodmorning boys and gurls

Not with or on but - I bought the tyres which were replaced - I put S rated metzeler tourance fron tyre on there. (v rear one) I see they also sold H rated ones but they were out of stock - other than the difference in speed (112 vs 130 or so) what is the difference between these tyres... and I am likely to have a front tyre blowout at above 113 MPH
-
Did you start early? I don't have any meetings today (Product Manager) so I have very little to do, might call it early too

Booking Mod 1
peepae replied to wastedyears1981's topic in CBT, Test and Advanced Training Information
Did you do it all yourself? So an A1 license or did you go through a school in the end? -
That's what I was thinking - thx Realised I bought a speed rating S one too so can only go up to 112 mph... on my front.. at 113 MPH, I'll just start wheelie-ng instead
-
Good nearly afternoon
-
How much does the load rating matter? And is this divided between the front and back? I bought front 909021 with load rating 54, but that's less than the weight of the bike but they don't make any higher ones?

Most protective boots?
peepae replied to peepae's topic in Clothing, Luggage, Accessories and Security
So I have these but my friend had a down yesterday, and broke his ankle. The boot did almost nothing.. -
Been looking at doing some off-road with my adv bike, and want something with slightly bigger sole but still very protective. Found out that a lot of boots are not very protective at all!!
