  1. Sounds like your licence is cocked up to me. A1 I could understand, but I would have expected A2 and A to have different dates to align with earliest age maybe ? Just stick to the law which hasnt changed since early 2013.
  2. No internet on a cruise ship ? Shocking !!

    air compressor

Unless you're intending to use air ratchets which require high cfm, that should be fine for light duty spraying/blowing up tyres. Seems a bit expensive though. I'm sure the going rate for them with the accessories is around £100. Check out machine mart if there is one local to you.
  4. If money is no object then do A2 now and then A when you turn 24. The likelyhood is though, if you are bored with a 125 now, you will quickly get bored of the 500 as well so the sensible thing to do would be wait as Joeman says, get your years no claims and then go straight to A license. If most of your current riding is town traffic, then a 125 is not really any more of a disadvantage than a bigger bike if you ignore the getting away from lights aspect.
  5. If the rules changed in Jan 2013 and you've not yet held a licence for two years, these rules were in place when you took your A2 test. Surely your school, instructor should have been able to explain this then before you took your A2 test. If you're under 24, look on the bright side. It means once you have had your A2 licence for two years, you can potentially get a full A licence at 21 depending on your age you passed A2. If you're over 24, well all i can say is

    Couple of Issues

Lets hope that's an end to the problems. The thing is where that pipe is, there wouldn't always be coolant flowing through it freely anyway which probably explains why conditions had to be right for it to leek. Maybe now you can enjoy some rideouts and no longer fear 'The' carpark.
  7. I'd go for the zoostorm from Argos. Many people haven't heard of them but they make perfectly good no frills p.c.'s at a great spec for the price. You could spend the extra £100 buying an SSD to put the O.S. on. A dedicated video card might have some merit depending on exactly what editing you intend to do. Even the most powerful number crunching P.C.'s can take some time rendering video especially if it's recorded in MP4 format.

    Lucky Break

My neighbour came around the other morning to see if I had a key that might fit her shed. I didn't, but was able to remove the 9 screws holding to door on in less than 2 minutes with my drill/driver. She was ever so greatfull as she could then cut her grass. Does kind of make you wonder what the point is in having a lock if it's that easy to circumvent.
  9. Put your bad experience with your GP surgery on the NHS website feedback for your surgery. They should all be listed on there and if anyone at the surgery is on their game they might follow the feedback up properly.
  10. Quite possibly a dumb question but what's a TRE ?
  11. Not sure why a video would get reported for copyright unless it has music that shouldn't be there. I had a video up once that had no music at all in it and responded to the copyright claim and youtube didn't follow through with the threats as they clearly found the claim was baseless when I responded to the report. To me, putting music on a video like this is the point it's no longer a vlog anyway as after all a video blog should have a commentary rather than some random piece of jusic which may not be everyones cup of tea. I think BVG gets these videos just about right.

    Changing a chain

considering it was less than £20, I wasn't expecting a lot but was pleasantly surprised. My mate who bought one at half that price got what he paid for

    Changing a chain

http://www.chainsandsprockets.com/colle ... ndit_00-04 JT chain, far cheaper than DID and apparently stronger. Depends if you want the bling though as well as the name and are you going to religiously clean a blingy chain to keep it blinging ? Got one of these for my XJ6 when i had that and had no issues at all. The JT chain would save you enough to replace both sprockets if everything is worn. Had varying degrees of sucess with chain tools from ebay. I brought one and it worked just fine. My mate bought one for his bandit 12 mk1 and the pin bent like a piece of rubber almost like it hadn't been hardened properly first time he used it.
  15. Ahhh, I see. Use Sygic myself anyway. Google pronunciation is shit.
  16. Pretty sure offline maps if you can call it that has been available for some time. It's very restricted to small areas though so you can't do a country. Just zoom in on the area you want and drop the menu down and select 'make available offline'. You then get a box pop up showing the area to download with an estimate of data size. Alternatively, go to My Places and then select offline tab from popup and select New offline Map. Turkey doesn't work for some reason

    Couple of Issues

Not knowing how much new coolant you have, it might be worthwhile just draining from bottom hose and topping up with distilled water initially (I'm guessing your stuff is pre mixed ? ) Make sure it's not dropping any water from the new rad and then drain down and refill with new coolant assuming the drain plug is easily removeable. It certainly won't hurt to flush new rad through with water before fitting.
  18. Have used Sygic for some time. Love it. A few months back they did a major revamp and made it look and behave like a completely different app that 9 out of 10 users were slating (myself included). I believe the app has been fixed now but couldn't be 100% although I did risk an update a week or so back and all was well again. For the price and what you get I think it's pretty unbeatable. I purchased Europe plus HUD option . If you like it and one of their regular discount deals is running then go for it would be my advice.
  19. Oh dear. Didn't see any of that last year but i was down there quite some time. Maybe i missed the twats. If i do go and it's shit i guess i can do a coastal run down to Folkestone and across to Rye to get away from it all.
  20. This year or last year ? I didnt go this year but enjoyed looking at all the bikes the year before.

    Couple of Issues

Just in time for the good weather Isn't that screw in the cap a secondary safety device as well to stop it being unscrewed accidentally and getting a face full of steam while the engine is still hot ? Just don't be tempted to remove the cap when the engine is hot if the screw wont go all the way in.

    R6 service

got any service history or know when someone last changed the oil ? Can't hurt to replace oil/filter and lubricate exposed pivots with oil/grease (footpegs). Oil cables. Check brake pads for wear etc. For oil changes, get a new crush washer from a dealer. They are pennies and should avoid over tightening on the sump nut. If you have no manual, there are service schedules online if you want something to follow.
  23. Is anyone from the forum looking at going to Margate on the 25th ? Seems the weather might be good this year. Hoping it will be as good as Hastings was last year.
  24. whenever he says that just finish off the sentence for him. .......says the guy with the full license and restricted bike Failing that, pass your test, get a bigger bike and tell him nothing until the day you turn up for a ride out with your bigger bike. The look on his face would be priceless.
