  6. Well done getting out and more importantly enjoying riding your bike Think a few are meeting up at Willie Woods on Sunday ??? I'm popping to the Bikesafe open day at the Humber Bridge. You can get an hour long observed ride for free that day which is great fun
  7. I will be popping into the Bikesafe open day to show my face at the Humber Bridge at some point on Sunday. Not sure yet if I'll make it that far down as I'll have been out to Hawes the previous day on a RoSPA ride out so no doubt rather knackered
  8. Nice one Cossie !! edit next RWYB is 9th May hope to see you there The atmosphere is great there even if your just watching. Link to calendar http://www.santapod.co.uk/calendar.php Link to official photographers site where if you look very carefully you will see the reason why my first run was void Thank God big girls bounce http://www.blackettphotography.com/ligh ... =1015-1025
  9. Glad you had a great day I got my drain unblocked so I suppose I'm happy about that
  10. Kev - other half - and I pootled off to the "Run What You Brung" at Santa Pod on Saturday. 7.30 start from Brigg and it was rather chilly until we got to Peterborough. Sun came out in places enough to warm us up while we went on the A1 to make up a bit of time. Got there and signed in and on our first run for 10.25. First run was void FFS second run at 10.38 was +1.03 reaction time, 14.71 secs 1/4 mile @ 101.58 mph 18th run at 15.06 was +0.58 reaction time, 13.40 secs 1/4 mile @ 119.79 mph That final run was my personal best of the day so that's what I have to beat when I go again on Sat 9th May. The bike did do a +0.60 reaction time, 12.77 secs 1/4 mile @ 121.47 mph ...... but that was with Kev on it - not me So something to aim for despite leaving before 4pm it was bloody freezing on the way home pic of me and Kev at the head of the line up with a Turbo Busa behind us. http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd76/kjandrosie/048.jpg

  20. aww Stelmer !! hope u get sorted. I was just coming on to post that I couldn't make it as the Bikesafe open day for this area is on that Sunday 26th at the Humber Bridge. Just Google bikesafe and then scroll down the list on the right for your nearest Police force and get ringing. Saying that ... it may just pay you in the long run to go back out for a half/whole day with an instructor?? and then do the bikesafe as a consolidation of your new skills??
  21. Get yourself on it and ring NOW as places get booked up fast. I did it the past two years and loved it. the open day is at the Humber bridge car park on 26th April and I will be there http://www.bikesafe.co.uk/Bikesafe/Bike ... erside.htm
