I remember about 10 Years ago having a good blast with a then new 911 Turbo, I was on a Fireblade, got the better of him on a long air strip but he beeped and gave me the thumbs up when we went our separate ways. I've had a couple of 'quick' cars and can say in the whole bikes are faster than most things,apart from the super expensive and rare hyper cars and even then they're very close. I appreciate fast cars but in the Home Counties there's no point having one most of the time.

Sadly I live near where the Olympic cycling route went past and every weekend the roads are at a stand still due to the Lycra Mafia peddling around clogging up the roads, cyclists, f***king hate most of them to be honest. The ones that ride to work etc tend to be much more courteous it's the weekend ones that are annoying.

I'm not going to bother as I don't feel particularly strongly about any of them, out of the two parties who could actually win a General Election I'd consider the Conservatives the lesser of two evils,marginally.

I'd pick the bike over an LP, but then I've always preferred Strats, prefer their tones, shape, feel. The LP is a great guitar and if you've always wanted one then go for it. For me a decent US Strat with some Seymour Duncan Antiquities is .

That's rubbish... just to let you know Alright, I'll adjust my route to include a fuel stop arpund half way through. If I fill up at the point we leave I might just be ok the light would definately be on again before the end though, Italian bikes are thirsty .

Thanks guys, I will get one ordered up, the only thing is Akrapovics have that slightly funny exhaust shape but I'm sure there are db killers to suit them as they're a pretty common exhaust.

I would have been up for this, if only my bike wasn't off the road until next week , can you do one the weekend after if the weathers not rubbish?.

Are these bike/pipe specific?, I've got an Akra slip on and I didn't get the baffle with it, would really rather not mess around putting the standard exhaust on, which I've heard it pretty close to the limit itself!!.

Do you need to be up for such long periods for work or is it as a result of drinking so much coke?. Caffeine can be awkward to give up, and we all have our vices, just you'd probably feel a lot better if you could give up drinking coke or at least cut it down. I can't really talk regarding caffeine I have to have a Red Bull in the morning but that's the only one I have.

I don't know your exact budget but if you're considering leasing, a friend leased a VW Golf GTD for £200 a month, it was through his business so yes he gets the VAT back but I would be fairly certain you'd be able to get a 1.4/1.6 normal Golf a bit cheaper?.

Just to check, you're saying you drink 4-6 litres of coke a day?, I'm guessing so as you said the big bottles?. That is really bad for you and probably what is causing the problems, if you're someone who just can't drink plain water try switching to sparkling water and lime cordial instead of coke.

To be fair I think you could pick someone worse than Darling, at least they had the sense not to use a Tory politician, that would have been a disaster. I'd prefer the UK stayed united too.

I used to work for Ford quite a while back and banging my leg on the dash was my only real gripe with the KA, I'm only 6'1" maybe I've just got long legs, like you say the handling on them is fun, my favourite Ford from that era is probably the mk2 Focus TDCI, I remember really liking them when they came out.
