  1. I think you made the right choice, now if I ever get another AMG can you remove that pesky 155 limiter . Also, I've got to say just from seeing them in the roads, Mercedes are making some really nice cars at the moment, I especially love the new C and S class coupes they look amazing.
  2. Sounds like she was a decent MP, one of the rare ones, I don't get why some nut job would do this to a pretty inoffensive, decent MP, who obviously cared about her constituency. It's her kids I feel really sorry for.

    Noise issue

If it's the middle of the day at a weekend, I will leave my bike idling for a few mins to get the temp up faster, if it's early I get on it and go, you're 100 % right about just keeping the revs low, if I've got onvit and ridden straight from cold, nothing over about 4K for the first 10 mins.
  4. Only if it's the Galactic Empire, say what you will but they had decent leadership.
  5. Honestly, the Mk4 1.6 Auto is horrific on fuel, I don't know why but it is, I used to work in the car trade and I swear around town it was only 3-4 MPG better than an E55 AMG I also had at the same time. If you want a cheap car like that my advice would be go for a slightly more powerful petrol manual if you want petrol, or one of the tdis, Golfs command a bit of a premium so if you don't mind a slightly bigger car I'd go for a Passat.
  6. Honestly it's a joke, within the M25 is a horrible place to live now for the most part, it's stupidly expensive, nearly always busy too, if I could easily change work to another part of the Country I would, in fact I probably will but need to get some more experience first as I've had a relatively recent career change.
  7. What Golf is it?, if it's a 1.6 Auto avoid it!!, they're truly awful, struggle to get 20 MPG in town and are really, really slow. Like Joeman, I've iwned a Passat in the past- a 2002 1.9 TDI 130 and it was a brilliant car, good in fuel, surprisingly fast and never went wrong. That VW 1.9 Diesel engine is really, really good in nearly all its guises, if going for a petrol the 1.8T is the best of the bunch.
  8. Sorry mate, can't help you that's far too north for me , if the weathers as good as it has been today though, bring the bike!!.
  9. I know it's not the best thing to admit, but I quite like the DS3, think it looks good . Why I quoted you though, I've had a go in a 640d, never have been much of a BMW fan, always prefered Merc then Audi, but honestly, what a car!!, credit where its due, if I could afford to get one I probably would to be honest. But if money were no object, think it would have to be: http://carproductstested.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/2015-Range-Rover-SDV8-Vogue-SE-review-1021.jpg
  10. I went there in about 2001 or 2002, it's gravelly and there are barriers placed across most of the runway at various intervals so you can only go down a side narrow space of it, if it was good I would have gone back by now!.
  11. Well I suppose it depends on the car really, most of the people doing big mods to their small fiesta or corsa probably are a bit chavy... but modding a car like an s2k or something isn't going to make you look like a chav. I've got a Range Rover now and most mods I see done to them are cringeworthy!!,I agree though tastefully modded cars are nice, I put some newer wheels on it when I had an SL 55, but still kept manufacturer wheels it freshened the car up a lot imo. Funnily enough I never considered changing the exhaust on it, if I still miss one thing about that car it is the noise.
  12. I'm the opposite, I'd rather spend money on modding because it is your creation and can be exactly the way you like it instead of having little things you don't like which there is bound to be on any stock car. I'd do it for the enjoyment too, I seem to want to modify everything I own. Although I remember reading this on the 350z forum, "Takes way too much time and money to make a car fast. I can go faster for cheaper by eliminating 2 wheels. Plus it is much more fun." I can understand why people do it and the appeal of it, just personally it doesn't appeal to me, plus with my car now doing any mods would just make it look like really chavvy, I even waited to buy one without blacked out windows!!.
  13. I never really modded my first couple of cars much, first was an old Renault 5 1.4, I put some 6x9 speakers in it and did plan to put some alloys on but unfortunately I clipped the kerb being an idiot with one of my mates and bent the front suspension, the car was worth so little it got scrapped, next I got a Peugeot 306, I can't remember the model think it was an XS so had alloys etc on already so didn't do much with that either. I think if you get the right car as it is then you don't need to do much with it, personally I'd rather spend more on a car I liked standard than spend money on modding. Did used to love the old hot hatches though, I always hankered after a Fiesta RS Turbo or a Renault 5 GT Turbo but couldn't afford the insurance. I've had a couple of quick cars later on but in my early 30s I've realised I only really enjoy bikes and can't be bothered to run a performance car that I never get the opportunity to use properly.
  14. Mr Fro has the right idea, it doesn't matter who you vote for, you're going to get a cock. Although, that said I expect I will vote Tory, as they're the best of a bad bunch.
  15. I'm going Italian again Phil, hopefully be able to get it before the 12th but may well be stuck below 8k RPM .
  16. I'd love to come on it, I might well be running in a new bike though, if it arrives before April 12th . Oooooooh. Nice. Then you have to come and show it off Did you get the R1?! No .
  17. I'd be really up for a couple of track days this Year, Cadwell is a bit of a way but is possible, I'd be happy to do Donnington, I'd really love to do Brands GP. I'm not keen on Silverstone though.

  19. UK Netflix is pretty bad, except for like the poser above mentioned-Stargate and House of Cards, there is a FireFox add on called Hola that makes it look like you're logging in from the US(or other Country of your choice) and US Netflix is much better. This is only helpful if you watch on your computer though.
  20. Lovely guitar!, hope you're enjoying it . I'm pretty new to playing does anyone have any thoughts or has owned a Fender Jaguar?, I've heard mixed things about them.
  21. It was still common when I did my test in 2000 so sounds like I just missed out!. I found it ok but it just felt un natural so I dropped it as soon as I had passed.
  22. I did my bike test before my car one but they were within a few months of each other, if it's any help at all I found the car test much easier. The only thing I didn't like was having to feed the wheel back round with your hands, who actually does that after they've passed their test?!.
  23. Their format hasn't changed in the last year, I had 2 or 3 within the last year and they've not done anything. Theyre very limited in what they can do. My view is that unless it's a council parking ticket file it in the bin, obviously it's up to you if you want to bother engaging in correspondence with them.
  24. Just ignore it they won't do anything, I've lost count of the amount of 'private parking charges' ive had over the years, they will write you a silly letter with big bold red words, maybe another one if you ignore it then give up.
  25. Good reason to never get married, it makes break ups much easier.
