I have just bought a Richa Bonneville wax cotton jacket, it has a waterproof membrane and back, shoulder and elbow armour and is a copy of the belstaff trial master jacket. It's a great bit of kit but I haven't tried the waterproofing yet!

Thank you for your replies. I have had my operation, the surgeon has told me it won't make me better but it will stop the problem getting worse. I am in a neck brace now for six weeks and won't be able to ride in that time swallowing fluids and solids is very painful because they had to go through my neck to get to the problem discs. I guess it's now just a waiting game to see if the operation was of any benefit.

I'm in for spinal surgery tomorrow and I have to admit I'm ever so mildly shitting myself! Has anyone else had surgery on their spine, did it go well?

Glad you got the bike back, when you get the chance give the bike and his "work" a good check. Better to be safe than sorry.

My guess is that it returns with no MOT.. Got to say you have more patience than me. I would have gone mental by now... Certainly wouldn't pay him any money. I wouldn't pay the prick a single penny.

Trace both a and b back and see where they lead, if one just comes out at the bottom of the bike it attaches to what looks like the vent ©. The air box and the carbs will come out in a certain order you just need the manual to show you the best way.

Are you using fresh fuel in the tank?

Have you had the carbs off and given them a good cleaning? The jets may be blocked with old fuel that's gummed up, get some carb cleaner and set too on them buggers!
