  1. yes mate, completely different.. i still have immobaliser in tact, and a blue blinking LED.. (currently cable tied up and hidden under seat), dont fancy drilling a hole in fairings for it.. So no immobiliser then? What alarm did you get? Spy? The blue led sounds familiar
  2. I wired in an alarm with remote start to my bike, wired all up as instructed but for the remote start feature to work i have to disable my immobiliser which im not going to do, its either have a remote start feature (which is cool but not nessisary) or have a working immobiliser stopping people from hotwiring the bike. Could be different on yours but i would have thought principle is the same
  3. Cracking mate fair play and well done. Summertime building something in the garden can only be beaten by either a bbq or bike ride
  4. You should notice a performance gain as it can breath better. It should be changed/cleaned every service, clean even when it looks clean because it wont be clean
  5. In pockets, mobile, alarm fob and home keys, work keys if going to work. Wallet, baccy and lighter. In seat compartment, a sidestand puck, cargo net, tie backpack, undergloves (although coming out for summer) and thats all i can fit in there. Going to organise and put a tool kit together
  6. As above get a k and n, they clean up, but that filter died a long time ago
  7. Looks like he knows the pathways and lanes well
  8. Twist of the weist is brilliant for the tecniques and the fundimental physics of riding and then roadcraft nottingham is great for advanced riding, road positioning ect
  9. Yeah exhausts can warp like many other things over time, is it a genuine part? As i find with some exhausts non OE they are slightly out of shape and need manipultion, with heat and bars. I take it you have the collars in the cylinders and they are all ok?
  10. Raid the door pocket of a highway maintainence vehicle and nab a few pairs every now and again that they use for the jack hammer. Thats what i do
  11. Are you loosely moking it up or have you actually bolted it to the head? If its for the bike the exhaust should fit unless something is obviously bent
  12. A story i read on here a while ago, someone sold a bike and left the insurance going for one reason or another and the bike was subsiquently stolen, and crashed and the guy who sold the bikes insurance was sued by the theif and the guy was liable.
  13. Are they the correct spacers? If not i would be worried about the swingarm being warped or bent it should slot in and clamp closed
  14. Just be mindful that if you do find a finance company that accepts lower ratings they will always charge more interest and claw back a larger portion of interest first so making the front loading more apparant and this is due to the 'risk' factor of the applicant. Alaays comes at a price. I know what you mean im useless at saving too
  15. If you have been refused finance its not the end of the road just beware that applying more times knocks your credit further. A personal loan is always better if you can get one as finance always front load the intrest which is why the settlement figure is always higher than you think. All bike shope use their own finance companys so there isnt a choice you get. Check your credit score before applying again as your score maybe just too low and needs building up. Alternatively, have you got anyone that can gaurenteur for you

    Wiring Question

If i was you i would have dome what you have done already and leave it. Hardwiring parts is a last resort you cant beat a connector, if the rectifier needs replacing or testing in the future dont make like difficult now by sealing it all in.
  17. I think gear wise its been covered. You say your getting the agv have you got an agv head? Or is that just the lid you like? Cant go wrong with agv how ever i had the k3 and loved it. Rst blade 2 piece are a good set of leathers and will set you back less than £400 so with your lid too your all in for £650 ish, that leaves you some wiggle room to get aome textiles too maybe? As when it comes to winter with the rain wind and cold textiles are far warmer i find. If not textiles then base layers are a must, obviously glove wise theres a vast choice, i use rst tracktech evo gloves, brilliant. Also waterproof oversuit, as already said leathers arnt waterproof even with best intention they just act like a chamois and will take days to dry. Sportsbike shop is the place to go imo they have a range to suit all
  18. Cracking gloves i have the tracktech evo, out in skeg using them at the moment. Great fit, quite warm in colder times but also well vented for warm weather, i use under gloves with them
  19. Theft at work sucks because these people you actually spend more time with them than you friends and family. Scum
  20. You need a safe like outs at work. It doubles up as a microwave when it doesnt have money in it and warms the food nicely. On a more serious note i hope you catch the fecker, report to police, dont get them to attend and if it happens again call them and they can do searches ect.
  21. Exactly the same. The only downside to this is sometimes, just sometimes when I am looking for assistance there is no one about. yes i know what you mean, currys has to be the worste for this
  22. I like to be left alone and if i need help ill ask. I was followed round a bike shop once and anything i looked at i got the dull rundown on it whether i wanted it or not, i had to send her away three times
  23. Dont do it.
  24. You barbarian what have those aminals ever done to you thats just cruel how do you sleep at night? I reccomend horlicks and put the tusk in the freezer before you fill the cup it keeps it cooler
