  1. As you get more confident your head movement will become more fluid and you will take in a lot more info. A good helmet will help with this as it will give you a wider field of view my first helmet was naff for visibility at peripheral so i quickly upgraded. But essentially your only checking your blind spot as your mirrors cover whats behind
  2. This is a big wide subject as some wont touch rear and some swear by it. Your taught in lessons to brake until speed is down to 4/5mph then pull up on rear brake as its smoother and more progressive, but ill be honest i have done plenty of joirneys and not touched the rear unless i need to stop quick. Feathering the front brake at low speeds and progressive at high speeds is key but you will learn your own method
  3. I have a titanium scorpion system and its deffo not for road use but doesnt have anything stamped on it. My last bike had an akra which was stamped but someone had buffed it so faint you could barely read it if you had the right light. I wouldnt worry about the fuzz unless your drawing attention to yourself. In answer to first question is if you spend the money you will get the gains, a cheap slip on may change the sound but thats about it unless your unlucky and it sapps a few ponies.
  4. Your not far from me lee, u got much of a mottly crew to ride with, im hoping to get out in the next few weeks to start my year as long as my wrist heals ok, we make our way to willingham a fair bit.
  5. Erm....... For a bet with money involved i would wear it for one short joirney
  6. Take it to a local garage and give them a few quid as coolant disposal costs garages. Your right dont tip it down the sink or drain, and dont leave in an exposed container in the garden while you are working out what to do with it i lost a cat through all biet malicious but still antifreeze poisoning just before xmas
  7. I needed a new lid after my off, not much damage but more peace of mind, been waiting for the show and nearly bit the salemans arm off, cracking helmet and the paintscheme i like too. Felt better when i checked the interweb and found it for £162
  8. Its the show that doesnt seem to get any good press on here like when i mentioned it last year so didnt this year. Spalding bike show at springfield events center. Small not much there but hutchingson was there with his race bike, drabbles on a bit makes you want to fall asleep lol
  9. My new lid. £100 bargain. Internal sun visor, pinlock with insert, chin draft guard and cool paintscgeme
  10. Yh thats what hit me today after my reality check that its not a good idea, im gona take my time so im all good when i get back on. The cold sucks
  11. Went for a ride today to top up with jungle juice, felt so good allbiet painful at times, im staying off it for a while longer and ill suffer the splint they gave me, even wrapped bandage round it to keep me from taking it off too easy, but at least i can for showers ect, the fracture thats still there is causing me some pain so time and healer and all that

  15. I remember being off for 3 months because of post-viral fatigue a couple of years back - getting back on the bike after an extended break feels amazing! Yh i cant wait. The bikes at work so ill take it to the petrol station when im back in friday if i feel up to it
  16. My cast is off! Been in cast for 6 weeks and has it been long or what. Just need to build some strength up in my hand then get on the bike
  17. Agreed, the charge must be proportionate to the losses incurred by you overstaying. How long did you overstay for? Was the carpark full?
  18. I have the r&g and its got intergrated led number plate lamp. Real nice touch
  19. They can be, in my experience buy cheap buy twice, i got one and it lasted a month before it snapped and got caught in my wheel. R&g are good but like you say expensive
  20. Go for a did set that will do you well
  21. Spot on a tail tidy is either a generic bracket or bike specific that allows you to remove the ugly plastics and just have the number plate nd indicators on the new bracket instead. You can always go one step further and fit a new undertray too and different lights
  22. I deleted my fakebook about 6 months ago
  23. Did you draw up a contract of work to be carried out ect and monies? If yes then trading standards if you have contacted him. Keep note of convo ect
