  1. Look like it, your o ring has come out and that link will start getting a tight spot before long
  2. It's not just the grades you need to look at it's the api ratings too, your bike will require certain ones or you could see things like clutch slip. If it's last the min just ride to the factors and get some topping up oil
  3. It's self control, do you wear earplugs? I find when I wear plugs I'm more relaxed and don't mind littering along, all beit around 70 ish but that's not too bad compared to mad moments. Ur the one in control of the throttle, just think as you powering along 'if this went wrong'......... That maybe enough to shock you into calming down. For me ita the what ifs, what if there's a copper sitting up there, what if a car just pulls out and that's enough to cool me down
  4. If weather's clear I may come up
  5. I'm off to Grantham Honda for their open day
  6. End of season meet at squires if you fancy a long ride Sunday
  7. The helmets that flip up are only tested when closed, and when closed they are just as safe as a non flip. The only one I know of that's tested both open and closed is the shark evo 3.
  8. Well I'm here, claimed my bike cover free gift and ear plugs, bought nice leather jacket half price. Unfortunately no matching leather trousers, will have to keep looking. Hope your pal is ok Ollie
  9. Who says you can't filter in a car!!?? Lol Lol Yh don't think I'll try that though
  10. Have seen this but still amazes me how the car driver didn't hit anyone,
  11. We have all been there pal. And unlike a car or bike when putting it back together bits leftover means it don't work lol
  12. Had a moment tonight on the way home. Broad daylight. I stop at a crossroad, indicating to turn right I'm just behind the white line waiting to pull out onto a52. A car approaches from the right and stops in middle of road to turn right. I look further up the road to see a van flying up behind him, he doesn't drop his speed pulls round the car in the middle of the road using half his lane and half the slip road coming down the road I'm emerging from. Anticipating this I quickly shuffle my bike backwards just in time for him to VERY NARROWLY miss my front wheel and I catch a glimpse of the p#$ck looking straight at me laughing. Not gona lie, shook me up big time I was seething wanted to follow him but in my mind I'm thinking if he was orepaired to hit me while stationary at 60+ mph then what else would he do.
  13. I'm going too pal registered the other day for a gift so I'll be collecting. And with a bit of luck there will be a grand knocked off the k5 750 in black and I'll get it too. But won't be there until midday ish
  14. Well done keep up the work. Sounds like your determined. Is there anywhere you can take a bike for some practice? Maybe grab yourself a lil 125 if there is and you can brush up on the bits you struggle with
  15. Yes it's legal no problem. And as long as you trust he can ride in a straight line there shouldn't be a problem. And the kill switch thing has to be done

    EXUP help :(

Ah that don't look too bad, as above smaller size socket see if that helps and get the bike hot if you can, failing that a hammer and chisel, chisel a groove in the side of the bolt and then try chisel it round, the heat and the shock may just do the trick. Or of you have a air chisel even better just take it easy with it or you will sheer it off

If you mean the bolts that hold the manifold on or any bolts really in the block I have to say the key is patience. Easy outs arnt that easy in practice, the idea is great but reality sucks. If there is anything to get a pirchace on like a rounded bolt try grinding a couple of flats and use maul grips. If your using the easy out metod use a center punch and start with a bit a quarter the size of the bolt, keep checking it's going in straight and if it wanders stop and re adjust if you catch the block you will have to drill and tap new threads. I'm a mechanic and don't usually have lick with easy outs on manifold bolts as they are usually locked solid, so drilling and tapping is the way forward
  19. Forget the exacts but on your pass cert there is all the directions
  20. On way back from Peterborough up the a16 with a couple of friends, I'm number two, my friend sees a space, indicates and overtakes two cars, I also saw space, indicated and pulled out. First of the cars we are overtaking without warning pulls out nearly sideswipes my friend and pulls into my path.cue angry gestures from all 3 of us not that she probably noticed at all
  21. Congrats on the passing, don't matter how you got here just as long as you did well done
  22. What has max pressure got to do with it? And yes, I do know someone that confused "max" and "recommended" and rode his bike for a while with 100psi front and back. Read my post above where I explain myself better, I was correcting the person that said that tyre manufacturers shouldn't be ignored as it sounded like they were saying to go by side wall pressures.
  23. Eerrmmm max pressure does not mean riding pressures....I'm sure you understand that right? I may have not explained properly or I've been miss understood. I mean don't go by max pressure on side of tyre as this is just max safe pressure in general. Listen to manufacturer (of the bike not tyre) as they are the ones that have worked out the pressure for correct contact patch on that particular bike
