  1. The cbt will take care of that, it's only the fear of the unknown your experiencing. No amount of studying will prepare you for the morning school run or the get home from work quick at all costs. Brush up on road signs and markings and do cbt then your training will start. Best of luck
  2. My comment above, the lifesavers I mention are on exit of the roundabout by the way not on leaving round about. Upon leavin you check the spaces where a car or bike could undertake or overtake.
  3. Going left your right side is vulnerable, nothing should be able to get between you and curb if positioning right. Going straight also sticking to left lane (conventional layout) right side velnrable and going right sticking to right lane left side vulnrable
  4. Good to hear you got the bug, and nerves are dussapearing. Being in the road is another beast so take your time and appreciate that cars arnt like cones (they move) and you will be fine. You picked out a lil bike yet to get
  5. Liked the commentary running enough but was frustrated with your riding throughout, looks like your still riding in India, and think how other road users view you and all other bikes ect. Lecture over, subscribed and liked good luck buddy
  6. Your grip and stability in corners comes from your larger contact patch which is your rear tyre, with no throttle in a bend your weight and grip comes from your front tyre which isn't the best so rolling on the throttle gently as you go round the corner keeps your weight even across both tyres or biast to the rear which is where you want it. So you look drop and roll on the throttle
  7. I'm umming and arring about this
  8. Missing the last check is a major. Make sure you use the whole straight before you start your turn, that is the most common mistake made where people rush. You can ride forward around 15 feet, keep the revs busy and use clutch control and that keeps the bike stable. Don't try turn too sharp you have a LOT of space so use it all. Main thing is don't overthink it like you say you have done it plenty of tines so you can do it you just had some bad luck. Good luck on next one
  9. Scenic route there and back
  10. I'll be at cadwell for the 80th celebration, pop up there instead unless you crave an icecream by the sea
  11. My nomination is for yesterday. It goes to the idiot on their phone yesterday on the way back from Grantham down a52. 3 seperate occasions they obviously wasn't paying attention to the vehicles in front and firstly nearly piled into the back of a car towing a trailer that turned left, slammed on brakes and stopped from 60 while I was carrying the Mrs on the back, and took up my escape route by pulling and stopping in the center of the road with oncoming traffic, then on two other occasions slammed on their brakes because they were too close to car in front and was gaining on it nearly hitting the back and instead of simply letting off the throttle they slowed to half their speed. The whole time driving on the white line making it difficult to overtake as I had a nervous passenger due to an accident on her cbt yesterday. Then when I do overtake to get behind a car with bit more road sense they decode they want to overtake too, straight piece of road I was riding in view of mirrors, indicating ect and when I'm along side the car she is on her phone texting.
  12. Well my gf had her cbt today she wanted me to tag along so I went to the training ground with her. She done great, all manouvers she got straight away. Having only rode a bike twice in the last couple weeks for me to teach her the basics. Then came the ride from training ground to the riding school for lunch, which she panicked. I lead so she could copy my direction, road position, indication and observation ect and she dome great got back in one piece and felt great. After much headed out again to an industrial estate to do e stop and u turn which she done great on e stop and ok on u turn (one of the turns she done in half the width of the road so took us by surprise.) How ever the ride there was great apart from turning into the ind estate she didn't tip and turn the corner sharp enough for her speed and ended up in other lane. When she was done with her turns I headed off to the riding school to sit in the shade as it was hott today. She comes back and she is close to tears...... Turns out the instructor wanted her to come back anyways because of her clutch control but more importantly she went in a lil hot to a corner (90 degree) with a crossing straight round the corner and panicked went into other lane towards oncoming car and grabbed a fist full of brake and spilled the bike at 20mph bike landed on her leg. But she got back up on the bike and rode back to test center, she is a lil bruised but all in all ok. She will be going back for another road session hopefully end of next week All in all I'm proud of how well she done given she has NO confidence at the best of times. Might surprise her with her own bike to cheer her up and spur her on and get some clutch control practice in.
  13. Ipicked up a agv k3 from them a couple weeks ago and saved 50 quid. Great guys there and handy having it on my doorstep although means I spend more
  14. A press is the best tool tbh, if you can't get it out with drifts then the gear to remove properly without damaging things gets expensive where a local general garage will be able to get it out in a matter of minutes for a few quid
  15. Oh she deffo isn't scared off she always wants to go out on it and is doing her cbt next week too
  16. Good luck with the roads in Luton they are shocking when ever I go bck to see my family. And as above cbt, theory mod 1 and 2 needed. Then because of your age there is an engine size restriction not sure what though
  17. Try having a little more forward momentum. Have you been to a dsa site yet? You have about 7 or 8 meters to ride forward so you can steady yourself forstbefore you commit to turn
  18. Front sprocket gaps look elongated, so worn. Nd rear gaps are too large and unevenly elongated so knackered. And chain looks tired. So all in all replace the lot pal
  19. Lol Yh tell her it's how you know your alive
  20. I'm bike hunting for the other half this weekend. Looking for a little 125 sports for her as she has her cbt in a couple weeks. And tonight her friend is coming over with her 125 so I can teach my gf how to pull away stop and change gear so she has some idea before her cbt (never ridden)
  21. My gf came on the back of my gixer and it was the firstbike she pillioned on. She started sitting right forward and holding on good and proper but has slowly moved back and is now argue point where she holds the strap on the seat and pushes againstmy back when braking. Only time will tell. Just don't scare her lol
  22. Get familiar with the more prone position then take her out
  23. Keep using it in the rain and it will gradually shrink but the main thing is that it will take an age to dry out
  24. Armr jacket textile jacket, spada leather gloves, agv k3 lid, work trousers and trainers (shock face) just the other side of town for me
  25. Off to santapod withthe bike to japshow on the evo owners stand
