Those bits you see are common with young engines, got the same out of my new RS125 when I had it years ago You should see a reduction in the amount that comes out. So long as you change the oil every 2000 miles or so as people seem to suggest.

Shite, sorry to read this matey Company sounds like real shits! Having issues at my place of work due to politics, had to do a design course through a college, submit 2 years worth of actual work done in the office to get qualified. Office wants to scrap the college and restart those doing it but do an internal one. I've just finished so I submitted my work after they said this was happening. Been told I have tried to undermine them, and all sorts. I've done no such thing! I acted in my best interests, I've done the work right, they were changing the system, so I've got myself in the clear before they do it to save 2 years of the same work. Boss is behind me and says I made the right choice but it's all down to the politics of the relationship of the college/workplace. So a big f**k it on all counts

I think you need H7 bulbs, you only have one headlight on don't you? Other deals with highbeam. So much sure you get the right ones as they use different sockets to plug into

Best thing to try is an Osram Nightbreaker I used them and they really noticeably light up the road. HID is all right to use but a grey area. You'd need to do some surgery and remove the reflectors from your bikes headlight which gets quite tricky. Best to do is the Osrams as they give an ice white light. Rather than dull yellow and more useful than the blue tinted ones

340 miles, left at 9am, back home at 9pm Can't do meets often due to the big mileage but well worth it to meet new people and say hello to ones I'd not seen in a while Thanks to Bob for arranging it, thanks to Moo for the chinese after the days ride and being a good pillion, thanks to Rantmachine for the banter and lolz at GTA before I left. If I see a lost looking YZF I'll wave, I'm on the SV650 tomorrow I know where I'm going, I have my Tomtom rider on me just in case but my phone has never let me down. And I know the route mostly off the top of my head anyway

Just remember fella, if the springs are fine and you put heavier oil in there, you can damage the handling! They are small light springs in 125s so its possible! I'd get the springs out and check to see if there is any wear.

Is the bike high mileage? As springs do wear out! My old yellow cbr was very bouncey at 40k miles! To put off the wear, replace oil, get the bikes front wheel off, do one fork at a time. Take off the fork, carefully remove the top and dump out the oil. Pump it out using the cartridge and then replace the oil. Use a metal ruler to set the air gap to make sure the level is right.

Sounds like the battery is out! After charging to get rid of the surface charge just leave the lights on for a minute and that will sort you out. The guy who did my mot showed me this when I had a similar issue! Batteries are cheap enough, lob a new one in. As a 13 year old bike I imagine the starter could also be starting to wear out.

They sometimes come with a kit to allow bungs to fit different sized main frame bolt housing holes. So check before you buy, but I have seen these used with all sorts of bikes! So if it works, it saves you buying 2 paddock stands for front and back. Also gives you better access! It's basically an alternative to a bench And you can fit wheels to them so you can wheel your bike around,

I wasn't saying you were wrong, I said I would be there in 2 hours, I never laid out a route That said when I hit avoid highways it still took the A1, just missed the motorway stints and was about the same time Moo mentioned maybe meeting up with Tango and Bonniebird, if she wants to do that I am happy to and follow whatever route

Google maps reckons 2 hours 9 minutes for me... Are we thinking the same route as I'm more than happy to blat it up the A1? An A road is not limited to 60, otherwise every dual carriageway I've gone up with the national speed limit sign has had me speeding The A1 is a 70mph road, not sure about the others but working off google maps, in good traffic I always beat it by at least 10-15 minutes per hour. As like a sat nav it only roughly factors in things like accelerating from junctions etc. And I am rather brisk at getting up to speed

Ive just worked this trip out from Cambridge and it is 2 3\4 hrs....all A roads not motorways... For something capable of 70 true, on a 125 add at least an hour onto that. Even though all the 4-stroke 125s I owned could do over 80 on the clocks you couldn't hold 70 all the way, especially up a hill. So I'd budget 3.5-4 hours on a 125 I'll be heading up from Cambridge when I pick up Moo, and I reckon from the mileage I wont be more than 2 hours.

Firstly, welcome to the forum, if you plan on sticking around then say hello in the newbies section! To the matter at hand, ring your Honda dealer or check online. See if the engine was simply lifted and put in the new bike, as if it was you could use the old exhaust on the new engine to help with routing issues You need to look at the old engine and match the engine mounts to the new one. If they are spaced the same, and the same distances from each other I see no reason why it wouldn't work

I bought it for the price I did as it only had 1 previous owner, it had rarely seen a wet day, it had over £3000 of kit put on it I will list in a moment. And it was fully serviced and ready to go! The mods include Akropovic full titanium exhaust system with carbon fibre tip, and O2 sensor eliminator Power commander, with custom map set up on the dyno controlling fuelling and ignition, and as a result it has a dyno read out of 125BHP. Akropovic carbon fibre exhaust guard and rear hugger Braided lines front and back Carbon fibre HRC stick pack for tank and yoke, along with double bubble screen and a set of bar ends that take out the vibration at motorway speeds Seat cowl R&G full crash protection R&G tail tidy All told, it has lose 15kg of weight from a standard model and is up about 7BHP. I was expecting this bike to ride badly, as with it tuned I figured it would be jittery. The exact opposite was true! Above 3000rpm it is smooth and very powerful, way more than what I remember thanks to the new mapping. It does exactly what I want it to and when I want it to. It remains highly controlled all the way through the rev range, but at 9000rpm it really goes! Fuel consumption isn't bad either, it achieves over 60mpg on a eco run. Handles well, even 2 up it doesn't lose as much of its poke as you'd expect. I always notice this with pillions but so far I've taken a couple of people on the back and it's still kept the response so I can ride more akin to how I do on my own without hassle! One little niggle I've found is that when it gets very hot and stuffy it likes to stall. I have to deliberately give it a lot of throttle when the temp gauge is over 95 degrees. I have put it down to the mapping being set for an optimal temperature, not a high one. But other than make me look silly, it's not a problem. Overall I am absolutely overjoyed with the bike, it was better than my expectations. It was by far an insensible choice. Logic was thrown out of the window for this one but it has paid of magnificently. For those looking at them, I find it to be the king of the 600cc class and I have ridden all of them! It is not cramped for all 6 foot 2 of me and I find it perfectly comfortable even on the motorway. It's a blast, that's for sure!

Haha The ride to Kings Cross is more of a normal take on how I ride when I'm not trying to scare you If you go for round 2 I promise to be nice, no leaning it over until it wobbles Said you could have a go on the SV to give you a taste for bigger bikes anyway, that bike is nice, steady and smooth. Probably the better one to have used thinking of it

Moo got into the Ace early so I turned up at the station and we went for a jaunt to burn time before the rest of the crew turned up! Had a good stint, followed by a good meet up with great peeps! Then dropped Moo off at Kings Cross to cut out the hour or more of tube trains to get there from the Ace. Would have taken her up to Cambridge as I would have had an extra rideout with the guys but as said, you could see the rain coming and sounds like they got hit by it hard Great seeing you all!
