  1. On a serious note. If you are going to report it to the police. Then ensure you mention in detail the fact that when he was strutting towards you he called you a "white baxxxxx" Ensure it is recorded as a race hate crime and tell them you were scared for your life. This will get the attention it deserves and will be sweet revenge. More than one way to skin a cat.
  2. Just showing off in front of his equally Chavvy scratter friends. We have some very non salubrious areas round here and I am aware of this sort of thing happening. I agree with an earlier post. I wouldn't have allowed to get that close. Yes it helps if you're a big lad and can swing one but also having the age and maturity to front it out. I genuinely feel sorry for the lad on the bike, you do find tho that most like him actually have no bottle and his arse would have gone.
  3. As an ex rugby player (the proper code obviously) Its very very easy to put weight on if not playing, training and basically doing nowt. Road running does help. I've had a couple of operations on my knees but bought a pair of decent running shoes. Made all the difference. Also try running in the fields/woods etc. Less impact on your joints. Several clubs round here used to use a country park by us for that same reason. Lots of very steep short hills which are excellent for cardio along with a few longer flat sections ideal for stamina. By the way. it comes to us all!!!!
  4. Yeah. Just rode with it into work again tonight. Seems quieter than the hjc. Went the long way round on the motorway to work just to see. Practiced opening and closing sun visor. ...lol
  5. Just bought the Simoncelli version. Was a toss up between that and yours. The kids are sulking with me cos they are Rossi mad and loved the bulldog Guido design on the back....lol Used it last night for work. Very different to my usual lid. I have a hjc is17 lorenzo rep. Found the agv to have more peripheral vision but I will have to get used to the sun visor switch. Was fiddling like mad at 06:00 hrs this morning on way home...lol
  6. Cock of. It's a term in Yorkshire meaning best of. I.e. Cock o north means the best in the north. P.S. Cock is also a term of endearment in many parts of Yorkshire. Mainly west n south. As in "alright cock". So is not offensive in the slightest. One day this year because the spring cup was over 2 days whereas that was traditionally a 1 day event.
  7. I'm in the same position Xmin Worked every hour god sent for 20 odd years. Therefore have a terrible credit rating. I think the world's gone mad....lol
  8. Pho. Put the exact specification on mate. If you have a photo stick it up n I'll have a look. Need to know the pitch of the thread etc.
  9. Having to work tonight. So the lad and I will be missing. ..
  10. I have a very similar Oxford jacket. Done around 2k in it. Including last winter. Paid around 160 for it and to be honest it's sound. Put away now ready for the autumn.
  11. Will have a spare ticket for Saturday. Came with one of the local papers. Bloke from caravan site cut it out for us. Allows entry for one on the Saturday only. Anyone wants it give me a shout. Will pass it on in Scarborough Saturday morning ish.
  12. Fantastic news. ours were born premature too. Same situation. Brilliant. Made up for you
  13. Parking. Either way very very easy. Its the football field. If mr Martin is there you won't get near him as he now commands a separate paddock...lol, well he did at the spring cup. Get some digs n go both days.
  14. It's different. Both events are competitive. But the cock o north has a lot more history etc. Plus the barry sheene is more of the classic races. In my opinion, anything at Olivers Mount is a good day out. If it's your first time I'm sure you will enjoy it. Just take a coat...lol
  15. It's normally a bit more low key is the barry sheene festival. They had parade stands etc last year. Very good especially for the kids to see the older bikes. First time eh? Is she looking forward to it?
  16. Is it first time for daughter at Scarborough? My 2 love it there.
  17. I use very cheap in ear things... Can't beat them. I think I paid £4.....lol
  18. We were at Silverstone last year motogp. Weds night. Just me n kids gone down. R lass giving it a miss. So it's first night. Tent has 3 bedrooms. I'm in the middle one. Hears some rustling in tent. Thinks sh@@ being burgled. Jumps up. Next thing I hear is the sound of my 10yr old daughter vomiting.... Long story short. 5 nights of eventually all 3 of coming down with the nova virus. .. 2 trips to the on course medical centre and one very second hand tent... To make it worse.. we infected our friends from Scotland in their motorhome.
  19. With the what flag!!!! Are you camping it Fox? We are going up each day. We have a caravan on the east coast so it's easy life. Hoping for sunbathing weather on the banking. Kids don't know that we don't have paddock passes this time as their idiot dad forgot to order ticket...lol So I will be in the bad books...lol That's going to cost me yet another t shirt. ..
  20. TICket to ride - The Beatles
  21. Yes. The twins and I will be there. Hoping for better weather than the spring cup...lol
  22. This thread could go very wrong. ...
  23. Elephant stone - The Stone Roses
  24. SHE'S electric - Oasis
  25. This may sound daft but... R.E. baby wipes on visors. Don't use cheap ones. Tescos cheaps make hellish smudges. Use pampers etc. Best things ever for visors are the safety glasses cleaning stations you get in certain industries. ..
