  3. Once in the union. You need to contact the regional officer. He/she will be able to advise accordingly. No matter what your work tells you, you have a legal right to join a union. Whether your work recognises them or not.
  4. This is why we still need unions. Keep a diary of every conversation you deem to be of a derogatory nature. Go on the unite website. You will find information concerning bullying. Also your company must have a bullying policy, look it up and study it.
  5. I must admit, bargain wise I think most shows are quite poor. I treat it as a day out with the kids, even if it is on enemy territory;-)
  6. We are going tomorrow. Although with my 2 kids in tow I very much doubt anyone would like to meet up.....lol I prefer the Manchester show to the nec. I found the nec just too busy. Yes we went on the first Saturday but jesus it was busy.

  23. I was faced with a similar dilemma at 32 yr old. I was being made redundant and was seriously thinking about a total change in career. In the end I chose not to, for the simple reason I couldn't afford to. Re training sounded a good idea but the starting at the bottom didn't. 9 years later I do sometimes regret it but that's life. You really just need to weigh up all the options and see if you can still afford to live like you do now or are prepared to make sacrifices. (I only really regret not re training on shifts like now on a Sunday night )
  24. Live forever - Oasis
