  1. I never had a 125 apart from when I was a kid. So I was realistically off bike for 20 odd years. Did the cbt. Then went straight onto the tests. just do it.
  2. People who grinned themselves to death- the housemartins
  3. I think a fair bit of it has to fo with where you live and your own personality. According to r lass I'm a gobshite and a "bit of a character" hence would always nod n chat.
  4. I think that is a tad cynical. There is still good people out there
  5. Got the tank bag and security chain. For the brass they seem fine.
  6. I think I'm a friendly biker. Certainly always acknowledge during the daylight. I work shifts so the times I travel can be after tea or daft o'clock in the morning so you tend to see the same bikes. One bloke with a hyubusa. Always nods You lad on a ninja. We even chat at the lights. ..lol Learner on a Chinese 125. He scares me. His right hand must only go one way
  7. Yes off to the batley aldi to get a cover and security chain.
  8. What the world is waiting for.~stone roses
  9. I will definitely be at Aldi in Batley on sunday morning to get one of those cheap tamk bags:-)
  10. Stick summat up a bit in advance and see if they are any takers. Probably hazard a guess tho that fair few of us have other halves n kids so won't be able to do it a drop of a hat (unless you don't like the wife n kids. ...lol)
  11. I did my Direct access in September. I'd ridden as a kid etc and a little in between to be honest. But it does take time. I've done probably around 3k since then and rode through winter. I found for me the best thing to do was challenge myself step by step. for example. First time dual carriageway at speed first time motorway etc Before you know it you forget what you were worried about in the first place. If like me you find yourself riding the bike more than driving the car through choice then you'll have cracked it mate. . Just remember complacency is the devil! !
  12. Cheers for the replies chaps. I will see if they fancy a weekend in the tent.
  13. Are kids welcome and is it relatively safe environment for them? I work a hell of a lot so can't really just bugger off for weekends at a time. Would love to come but I'm thinking I might bring the nutters. They will be 11 at the time. ( twins) They're used to bike events. Motogp. Scarborough. Shows etc.. Anyone else take kids?
  14. Its called dangerous driving. Hence when you get slow vehicles on the motorway for example cranes they have an escort to warn others of the hazard.
  15. Riding too slow is a fault when for example you go from a 30 to a national speed limit zone and for whatever reason you are un willing to ride at speed. therfore in a real life situation you would be a hazard on say a motorway.
  16. As above. Get used to using your mirrors constantly especially if you're commuting. Things do sneak up on you.
  17. Well done. Chuffed for you. Enjoy!!!
  18. Congratulations. Onwards and upwards.
  19. Rich and strange- cud
  20. Birstall here. Lad plays for cleck rufc.
  21. If it's post injury definitely increase the reps rather than the weight. Also take it steady mate. It's very easy to get carried away....
  22. Have you tried j and s next door?
  23. I'm no employment law expert. But I have been a union steward etc in the past and in my experience we would have laughed this situation off the table. Look at your various insurance policies as some offer free legal advice irrelevant of the subject matter. House insurance often offers this.
