  1. Maybe it's just slip.. will adjust leavers tomorrow. Odd it just came on so quickly.
  2. Been a while, been tinkering etc.. I bought shiney new bolts for my engine casings. Simple case of remove old and replace with shiney new one by one. I also replaced all of the clutch plates and springs about a month back. So its all looking and feeling lovely. Until today... first ride since change of bolts and when I open up it seems to rev higher than usual. Almost like when I had slip. There was one bolt that was placed in a hole which had the bolt missing. Some I replaced were so lose I undone them by hand. Especially on the opposite side to the clutch. The power is there and it's getting me going still and I might add to quite a rate. But when I drop the gear to slow down the engine speed isn't dropping like it used to either. Seems to be no resistance where the was before. No noises (revs excluded) no more vibration than usual with nuts on the tank. If anything it all feels smoother. But it just doesn't "feel" right. P's I also fitted the exhaust properly. The gasket at the collector was wrecked so totally sealed now. Any ideas??? Gsf 600
  3. It's like you're helping me fulfil all of my dreams!
  4. I'll need speed stripes for that.
  5. One wheel.. rear shock looks and feels fine as do the forks. For the moment caution will be exercised at the highest level. Raising the front is going to make turning worse but raising the back also will counter I'm hoping. The down pipes can't get any closer to the frame. It's the bracket that makes contact at the moment so maybe that can be addressed. I'll show some pics later to show what I mean. My worst bumps and an increasing phobia as a result are the ones approaching over passes on the a14. There seems to always be a lip which at 70 feels like a bloody launch pad... I know the road enough to for cast the majority. But sh*t my pants when I miss one incoming.
  6. I had a super moto before.. huge difference. I'm only 6ft and my feet are more than flat. Bent legs etc. I'd say it has about 5 inches of clearance between the collector and concrete.
  7. So... speed bumps. Now and then, like twice today my bracket for the collector/mid exhaust area has made full contact with said bump. Noisy unpleasant and slightly alarming sound. However I'm now or intend to fit a belly pan on the weekend. The thought of smashing this to s**t on the first bump I misread makes me wince. Is there a route to raise it at all? Jack up?? I have a 25mm kit coming anyway. Old bike wasn't as low slung as the bandit.

    License plate

Don't get me wrong, if I got stopped and they pulled me up on it I'd put me hands up, can't whine over something when you know how the land lies. Big plates look awful though!

    License plate

Anyone got a less than standard plate on their bike?? I know the legal says 9x7... but it looks a bit dog on my bike. 8×6 is a much more pleasing size but clearly illegal. Or is it?
  10. Just need a smaller plate. Thinking the one I have is bigger than law obliges now.
  11. Bike is a little grimey...
  12. It wasn't as simple as the instructions stated. Nothing that supposedly unbolts from my bike unbolts. It's all welded. Pillion pegs and a few other bits. A lot of plastic was removed and some metal bits too. But I got there in the end..... http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15/02/14/f2cbc40e0ff0462a960c75bd6c878877.jpg http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15/02/14/5ca363c7543d0df757b76b744b28d0ed.jpg
  13. Jumping from a car would need leads from car battery terminal to your battery terminals. But everyone needs a battery charger with a bike... so as said by others go for charging either way to ensure it doesn't happen again.
  14. It's undertray.. With lights built into the body. Powerbronze. It has a bracket for indicators and I assume the plate. But ill tackle that after I've not screwed up the main part
  15. So tomorrow I'm going to replace my undertray on the bandit... I read the comprehensive (1 page) instructions. It mentioned some cutting... then some glueing. Which is two things I'd not planned for my bike tbf!! My main thought is number plate and indicators. no such guidance for that it seems. anyone fitted one on a bandit or any bike for that matter. It's replacement for a new cleaner look, shotgun rear lights.
  16. Yeah get someone with a car to try n jump it... that's worked for me when the battery was the issue with my wr 125. If it's something else you'll soon know.

    Uneven idle...

That I don't know. Not something I'll be able to find out for a little while. I did totally deplete it when I was working on it a few weeks back.... placed something metal on to contacts with out thinking or indeed noticing. By the time I went to start it, it didn't even have enough juice to turn over. Just clicked. Then I jumped it with a car and it's worked ever since.

    Uneven idle...

Also sprayed carbs checked etc.. no change

    Uneven idle...

Ok... its when I switch the lights off it fluctuates. Turn em back on and the revs drop.. All whilst idling.

    Uneven idle...

Migt tackle that on weekend.. had the carbs off recently and the rubbers looked fine. As for balancing.... ?????

    Uneven idle...

So when it's cold it idles like it's cold... around 1000, sometimes dipping. Take it for I dunno 15 miles to get it warmed up and it starts to idle really weird.. maintains 1500 with intermittent yet very regular jumps to 2000. To be fair it has no impact on me as I only notice when parking up.. can't help thinking though something is going to end up costing me time money or both.
  22. Something falling off a bike is the worst... my exhaust fell off. Worst day!

    Air filters..

No apologies necessary. Delkevik, exhaust people. Well the Facebook person at least is awesome. No fuss replacement of part I destroyed by mistake.
