The bungs are defo still there.. I must just be noticing because the fuel is so low. Loose/lose the message was conveyed!

    Lose tank..

I'll have a look tomorrow.. They were there when I last took it off. Might jam something squishy in to stop any new found movement. It ain't going nowhere for sure . But you have to ask about these new finds!

    Lose tank..

How lose should my fuel tank be... bolts are tight and it's hooked under the lip. But for the first time I noticed it moves up down and side ways at least half an Inch. Never noticed before as the tanks always full pretty much.

    Air filters..

........The bandit envy is strong here!! It's ok. We understand.

    Air filters..

Look pretty? Shouldn't have got a bandit then. As stu says, stay away from the airbox, hundreds of threads on the bandit forum of people who've tried and f**ked up the fuelling. Spend your money on a set of weighted fork springs, and the rear shock off a 2004 cbr600rr, both will bolt in in a matter of hours and transform the bike, it will still look the same, but it will handle better on a B road. Did you just call my bike.... ugly!! [emoji86]

    Air filters..

Again a lot of what I'm doing is to make the bike look pretty.. not massively enthused by power gains etc. First big bike, done intend it to be my last or.... me be it's last if you get me.

    Air filters..

    Well that was easy.

    Air filters..

So this gsf 600 I have... I'm looking at them pretty cone shaped filters k & n do also ram air?? any ideas as to how these work... I know where they go, but do you remove the air box and they replace that?? I'm a little confused. Surely if I removed the box then nothing would hold take the rear side weight of the carb and it'd all be hanging off the actual engine. Or am I missing something .... or everything

    Rear shock.

Got my own cat for that!! Will post a pic as soon as I've made the mods lol
  10. I was going to say clutch slip.. it sounds exactly what I had until I changed the friction plates. Only when I opened up. Certain gears will put more exertion on them, right?

    Rear shock.

I've read a fair bit on it and have seen a fair few mixed reviews. I wasn't and am not after any silly raises. More like a couple of cms. But yeah the slight adjustment is likely to make a fair difference to handling. Front end has what looks like rust near one of the dust seals so it needs attention before committing to any change.

    Rear shock.

Specifically the look. But I'm waiting to fit a new under tray before I commit to it. As that may make a big enough difference to be look.

    Rear shock.

You lot are so resourceful!! So glad I joined this forum.

    Rear shock.

But if it rains the cushion will get wet!

    Rear shock.

It's a lot more as the tic than anything.. looked at kits but the prices vary so much and they are all the same shitty bit of triangle shaped coated steel. I don't do a great deal of high speed. But then I know height can make a huge difference to straight line. Won't do anything until the new under tray comes... Might make enough of a difference for my tastes.

    Rear shock.

So... my rear shock is adjustable. Normal perhaps? but I was thinking of lifting the bike as my feet are more than flat on the floor. Will adjusting that raise is?? I'm 11/12 stone fully laden. But now I'm on a winning streak in regards to tampering I kinda wanna do it myself.
  17. The sp one is a spit of mine.. I say that one! The wide open end looks really aggressive. We don't have bikes to look like princesses do we now
  18. It's not marked.. which supposedly helps. I have another for mot purposes anyway. They also sell road legal at delkavic.
  19. I got a delkavic literally last week for my gsf 600. I know it said non road legal but it included a baffle so I thought how loud can it be...... I wasn't prepared for the increase. Sounds f ING awesome when opening up on the faster roads. But I feel like a hooligan around my home area. Cheap good looking cans and fast delivery. But yeah no u tube video can prepare for the Db increase. As for performance. I had clutch issues and now it's snowing so I cannot answer that one.

    Clutch slip. .

    I'll book mark it!!

    Clutch slip. .

So I replaced the fricion plates and springs.. If anything the clutch feels easier now. Not to mention it feels so much better when engaging now. Very smooth! I did however notice what appeared like scorch marks on the steels. Only a few and only small areas.... part of me thinks these now need replacing?? Also.. do steels have a particular way around? It's all running fine but I imagine if I've done something wrong i'll know about it sooner or later.
  22. They snapped shut I did check that.. cleaned the springs and externals up with some wd40. Surprising how much junk gets into a covered area. It's definitely not holding the revs higher now. Which it was with the old cables. Next time I get some reasonable weather ill get them back off and go for a full strip down... but I'm a little intimidated by upsetting something within and causing issues I can't fix.
  23. I've replaced the throttle tubes and cables and now everything is much more responsive. The revs don't drop instantly but I may be expecting to much as it's an old bike after all. The carb removal was a pain in the arse... no wonder the garages wanna charge so much. And reconnecting everything I kinda made a few mistakes. The only issue is I seem to have a left over pipe lol. It's a breather but I have no idea for what.... as it doesn't smell like fuel even slightly :s
