  1. Tickets for the whole event was £190, all three days included and included dedicated seating. Roving seats wasn’t an option this year. Cost of hotel was £120 if booked early. Two nights Full tank of fuel in van £100ish Food £150ish if your eating out and getting meal deals where you can. I haven’t been going long enough to say if this is a lot really?! It was £6.90 for an ice cream I’ve spent about £200 on some merch but this is optional.
  2. Wasn’t really sure what section to post this in…. I've attended the GP all weekend at Silverstone this year…. Compared to last years, this event is pants (excluding the racing of course ) Monster Energy are not here which means no free drinks, no extreme sports on show. Hardly any display stands or merch stands. The numbers in attendance is shocking!! Most seating areas are closed. I know the GP will never be as big as F1, but I can’t help but feel Silverstone couldn’t care less if the GP never came back. Unless something changes, I can’t see the GP being hosted at all in the UK after 2026. I know in comparison to other circuits, it’s expensive and there also isn’t a local rider to support, but I really hope next years has more to offer. It may very well be its last one! Thoughts all?!
  3. Noted!
  4. yea I got those connectors. I also have the female connections to them so they wouldn’t be able to make contact with each other or anything else. I had the idea of running two terminal connection cables, separately from the positive and negative, then have something on the end of each one where I could just attach the croc clips to. I could then just locate the wires somewhere more accessible rather having to remove the seat all the time. That was just a theory though. I’m open to ideas
  5. I’m not too clued up on it, but why would something short out? And will there be a way to stop that from happening?
  6. Sorry to revive an old thread…. I have some bullet connectors lying around, can I just use these instead then connect the croc clips to them? I’m not trying to be a tight-fisted over £5 but if I have what I need already….?
  7. Has braided lines.
  8. I forgot to mention that I bled the brakes. Only this time I did it myself and also got a second opinion from someone much more experienced than me. I’m 99% certain there is no air in the system. I won’t completely rule out the warped disk. The previous owner could have cause that on a bike like this. It doesn’t lack in stopping performance though…. I’m wondering if it’s just a quirk with the levers
  9. Nothing changed to be honest, I’ve just learned to deal with it for now
  10. My mistake! I was looking at this one…. then realised it wasn’t the same type of stand. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/364788994666?_skw=motorcycle+front+paddock+stand&itmmeta=01JB9MF45Y96MPV4SQAH1SD70K&hash=item54ef1e526a:g:jigAAOSwKiJm1Q4C&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA4HoV3kP08IDx%2BKZ9MfhVJKnU6QNN%2FB9hmoKJ%2BVHAMazQkbdZ4f4jxhMw2%2FNXWzxq9URG1kp%2Fy3eZVxdiJ%2BqfmABqpMNh3ollzRSQ0BFD2jiRw2roWdJ31nKhin0DNE5AUDy2ZiAk9o2Qo%2B8NvWtkUqR5dkohLIj8%2BWYSrX%2FcLgC9tXCgBeMXVkmCFTz1pegzta15iCsjVPCP%2Bf%2BjD74F7zWTuTx6OzUylpmougCp19VyjWwAFyhy9bFnFieyaSOz7yJiAzsUnD6tz19UdB17YjE5OTaMCBGzyB1b5dCodaqF|tkp%3ABk9SR4bDvLTaZA
  11. I’m all for supporting the forum but that’s double the price I can get one for on eBay…. Yes, I know you get what you pay for, but for how often I’ll be using it doesn’t seem worth it.
  12. It’s more for winter storage really and maintenance. Taking forks off when needed, or wheel changes etc. I don’t really have the space for anything more sophisticated.
  13. Can anyone recommend a front paddock stand that will fit my 2006 Fireblade? There seems to be many different types out there and I’m worried I’ll order the wrong one…. Unless they all fit?! I don’t have front spools, hoping I won’t need them.
  14. I had the same problem. We didn’t have any commentary either for about half the race due to sound issues. I didn’t know the positioning until the podium
  15. I’ll be the short, fat bloke wearing all the Repsol gear…. Since it was 2 for 1 sale…Holding up a sign that says “sign my chest Marq”
  16. Still a chilly breeze though, which don’t help when all you packed was shorts…. Ask me how I know Still, was a good excuse to go hit the stands for some more clothing.
  17. I got a digital ticket for the GP at Silverstone on Friday 2nd August for 1x Adult Grandstand Entry if anyone wants it? £25 and I can send it to you via email using the app.
  18. Weekend. The van will be emptied. I just know some will break in just to have a look weather it’s sign-written or not.
  19. I’m planing to go to the GP this August at Silverston for the first time. I’ve booked in to stay at a Travelodge on the M40 service station but if I can find something cheaper than the £150 price tag, I’d be happy. I do own a van so parking up somewhere is an option and just crashing in the back…. I don’t know the area though and worried my van might be raided, even though I’ll be in the back. Tool theft is a concern for me. I’m really just trying to find out from others experience if there are some better options available for less.
  20. Streetwize 12v 1.5A Trickle Charger | Euro Car Parts The above link is the charger I have... do I need to buy a new one with the same connection then to use it on my bike? Or can I use what I currently got and convert it somehow?
  21. I found this cable that wasn't connected to anything under my rear seat…. Any ideas what it does or is supposed to do?
  22. yes, has adjustable levers but no matter what setting I put them in, it’s doesn’t seem to help much.
  23. 2006 CBR1000RR so yes, please ignore my previous post about upgrading my 600…
  24. Honda CBR1000rr 2006 The front brake lever travels about 10-15mm before you get a response from the brakes…. I don’t like this feeling. The brake fluid was recently changed but not by me. Any input people?
