Well unless your looking at getting the bike on a diet and loosing weight probably start with a power commander cause anything serious mods wise is going to need a state of tune to go with it, changing a filter isn't really going to add anything noticeable.

How much you want to spend, turbo would be noticeable, supercharger available for the 1000 don't know about the 600.

pardon my ignorance… is a power commander just a device that mimics a remap?

I don’t think I’ll remove parts so much but I’ll happily look at replacing them with lighter weight materials such as carbon wheels

  2. Hi all!!

I’m looking to modify my CBR from stock. The only modification it’s got is a Scorpion Exhaust, but not a full system. It’s a 2017 model and won’t be used for track days much, it’s only really used as a weekend toy.

I haven’t got a clue where to begin since it’s my first rodeo. I’d like to increase the torque without sacrificing top speed if possible. I’m sure the list is almost endless of things you could suggest so lay it all out but in simple terms if possible.

You may wonder what’s the point if it won’t be used on the track…. Well, I want to do it just because it’s mine and I want to make it more personalised for my taste. It’s a solid machine as it is, I just want to try and make it better and add to it.

and no, I won’t be buying a bigger bike instead… I’m really happy with my 600, hence why I’m trying to add to it 😁

  3. Just a thread to try to offload and compress any negativity you maybe having at the moment. This forum is usually ok and quite positive but venting off sometimes is what’s needed and effective when done in a controlled manner. Could be related to anything.

    I’ll kick things off….

    - I can’t stand road users who don’t signal or indicate at junctions or roundabouts

    - Drivers doing UNDER the speed limit!!

    - Users on social media and other forum-like sites that reply with “why don’t you use the search function” when they could of just not replied or posted a link to something that could help. I think it’s the most pointless comment any one could make. Don’t get me wrong, I’m well aware of how frustrating this can be that someone could get the answer they need by using the search bar…. But I think that sort of reply doesn’t create a very positive atmosphere. Thankfully, I’ve only seen it happen and haven’t been on the receiving end of it.

  4. I’m open to suggestions on other places to buy parts from online if you have any, but I’m currently looking on WeMoto. I’m pretty new to servicing the bike but not new to using the tools. I want to get it right though so any input is appreciated.

Excuse the naive side question…. But how do you know which CBR model you have? I’m trying to order some service parts on WeMoto and I’m concerned I may have the wrong parts on order. I got a 2017 ABS but on WeMoto it says US Market and RAD next to some of the names. 🤔

  5. This was taken (not by me) at last year’s May Day event in Hastings. I was supposed to buy this one but never got round to it so you’ll have to try and see past the watermark….

Your pic looks like it should be in a magazine 😎

But I've used it, can't take it back like that surely.

I have taken things back in the past used. If it’s literally like new condition and you have original packaging, you just say I’d like to return it. If then asked why, just say it wasn’t up to my needs or say it was an unwanted gift. I have done this many times. Worth a go before it’s too late.

  7. Does locking-up the rear wheel, then dropping it count during tuition?! If so, then only that one time.

What about being bumped into while filtering but never actually damaged the bike, more of a near miss I would say…. If it does count then that makes it two!!
