Hi all, Passed my CBT with no issues, well it is my 3rd in 10 years! But this time everything is looking good for booking my DAS! Got my theory test booked for 10 November. Passed CBT on a suzuki vanvan, on the ride out my instructor asked me what speed I was doing on an uphill 60 mph road, I said 40, he replied "you know it was a 60 road", to which I replied that I was full throttle but the bike was struggling to shift my weight! He burst out laughing leaving me embarassed! I am 6'4" and 20 stone!

You can be excited if you pass your test, its how you deal with that excitement that affects your life expectancy!! Its good to be excited otherwise why bother?!

Trouble is films and media show don't show it properly. If you imagine a triangle with several layers you could be at the tip with just a small or few traits of ASD or if your at the other end you have many traits of Autism. I've been a support worker for adults with learning difficulties and have supported people with autism too, and I can not learn enough about autism. As has been mentioned, everyone is different so you cant say what works for one will work for another as chances are it wont, were all different.

I was going to go but now decided to put the travel, ticket, shopping money towards my test instead. Gutted but its for a good cause, if not a better cause!

I would imagine most if not all dealers would let a new rider test ride bikes in the hope they get the sale! Though I would expect them to be cautious over some bikes "passed my test yesterday, can I ride that desmosedici please"!

Heard about that motorbike museum in a magazine, their all working bikes aren't they? All restored in working order? Ah panama city where Nitro Circus is based!! They do a holiday resort there for adrenaline junkies! Awesome! Sounds like a good road trip, I too want to do the dragons tail one day. Nice one, on a nice bike too.

There's loads of videos on YouTube showing what each test requires, some helpful videos from instructors too. There's some videos from the test people ( cant remember name at moment) and I watch Roadcraft Nottingham for hints and tips about riding. Hope this helps. Sadly I don't know of any books as I learn better by watching if im not actually doing it.

Try using a Buff neck warmer thingy. Use it as skull cap or hair wrap or of you get a long one it can go over your head and neck holding your hair down from blowing around too much.

I would say theory test you should be okay. Test wise should be fine as long as you didn't pick up bad habits cycling! I'm really nervous with regards to doing my test although couple of years ago I did pass cbt while riding a Honda cb500, lucky me! Where I struggle is with figure of eight and U-turns. What im finding helpful is looking at videos on YouTube where instructors are giving advice, and seeing others do them. I keep panicking they have to be small and tight but seeing the room allowed is making me feel better! Hope this helps you. All the best with your test. Sure you will be fine.

Any one same as me? I'm 6'4" and size 42ish waist. I either fond right leg length but to small on waist or right waist but leg too short? Why do tall people have to be skinny? Haven't they seen a tall guy with a belly before?! Hate clothes shopping!
