  1. I have these. Good glove, but always feel 'damp' in rain. Also, an absolute swine to break in! Cuffs are good length though
  2. You are doing it the wrong way! Pull jacket sleeves OVER the glove cuffs. Even at speed water runs DOWN your sleeves and into gloves if they are over the jacket. Pulling jacket over prevents this. You still have to contend with osmosis, but that's unavoidable.
  3. Miles Kingsport Honda dealers in Hull have some Honda branded leathers. Try ringing them, they may be able to give you a local dealership who stock same
  4. I'm with you Yorbs, Stoner is just a mardy git! I rate Nicky, I just don't think the big H gave him their support. That said I'm not a Duckhatty fan, so I will be torn with my loyalties, like I am with Hamilton ( ) and McLaren ( )
  5. You've just missed the BMF Tail End which would have seen you kitted for under a hundred quid! Check for any bike shows, there are usually bargains to be had, end of line, last years colours etc. There is a place at Scunthorpe that does mail order - well under market prices, can't remember the name though! (I think Pete 247 put a link on once)
  6. At least on the beeb there are no advert breaks (F1 and MotoGP) That said, the Eurosport commentary is superior to BBC for the bikes. Have to see what commentators they employ for F1 - be nice to keep Martin Brundle, but James Allen is annoying! To the Topic - enjoyed the race, Rossi showing his true ability again, able to ride and win in all conditions - even Hurricanes! Thought Nicky was quite impressive too, bearing in mind Mr Fukui was inscrutable towards him. Be nice to see what he can do next year - may even get me interested in red bikes!

so thats y ure bike never works and who has been telling you porkies ? its been off the road twice in 2 years 1st Jan 2007 - 31st Dec 2007 and 01 Jan 2008 to 14 Sep 2008 Only twice
  9. Posted it before, but my choice is Alt-Berg. Wear nearly everyday all day for work or off duty, been touring in them in torrential rain (weeks at a time) and NEVER had wet feet in five years. Excellent aftersale service too, with re-soling available. They have walking boot soles and are comfy for all day wear off the bike (In fact sometimes get worn under jeans if it's raining!) Not a fashion item, they just work
  10. Learn to use the clutch
  11. Thought you meant the Airoh S4 and Arai Viper -Thought it was a strange mix - the Airoh is a MotoX lid!
  12. Most folk buy lids as a fashion item - you have gone about it the right way - really it is just a case of which you prefer. Both lids are high quality, both reach all standards required and are both excellent choices. Which is your preference? Go for that one.
  13. Alternatively advertise the fact on a public forum - not a particularly mature answer when a youngster asks for some genuine advice and guidance
  14. I was told the same. But I can't imagine a single way that stickers are going to compromise the integrity of the helmet... at all... I think its just something they say in a way to urge you to like not do any DIY to your helmet, take care of it and leave it as it is. Honestly cant see a problem with stickers. Depends on the material or finish of the helmet. If painted then the structure of the lid is protected so placing things on isn't such a problem. If the lid is plastic (polycarbonate or similar) then the oils in the glue may effect the plastic making it brittle or soft thus removing it's integrity. If the instruction booklet that comes with the lid says do not put stickers on then don't. If they have stick on graphics from manufacturer then this glue will be inert and safe to use on that kind of plastic
  15. Upshot is - if you never get caught doing anything wrong then you get away with it - drink driving, taking drugs, stabbing your partner, shooting the Prime Minister.............. Does it make it right? Like it or not, the restriction based on age, is based on likelyhood of that age group being involved in fatal/serious crashes. ........Or ability (A1/A2 licence) And as for never getting caught - people do, and then face a lifetime of being, as I said before, uninsurable, banned etc.
  16. That you ask the question is an answer in itself. Revoked licence, ban, un-insurable, criminal record, etc, etc Restriction is there for a reason, it won't take away the enjoyment of riding, just keep you alive
