  1. Invest in a Scottoiler too - chain on my Blackbird lasted 40,000 miles and even then I only changed it due to age - had wear left in it. I would also change the cush drive as the ZZR600 is reknowned for wearing them out
  2. How romantic! I currently have an Arai RX-7RR, Corsair, Shoei Multitec, Suomy Gunwind for off duty and an Arai SV, Shoei Syncrotec, Multitec for work and HJC Sy-Max for voluntary stuff I do. Korbs, I emphasise 'currently' - imagine how many I've had over the past 30 years! Use the shelf for models of all the bikes you (will) own!!
  3. So true! The Luffield grandstands are brilliant for watching the racing. I was sat at Luffield A this year for the rainy F1 GP and had the time of my life watching the race Watched it on tv when I got home and was surprised/shocked even to see the camera's hadn't caught the action there at all Yupp - love to watch F1 there - or anywhere!! Luffield is excellent seen F1 and numerous other racing at Silverstone and found that is the best spot. The action (especially F1 down the field) there is superb in rain or shine - Love it!
  4. Used to be at Silverstone anyway Bit flat, but with the grandstands especially around the complex/pit entry makes for good viewing. Both are good circuits, but a change is as good as a rest so to speak! Anyway - better Silverstone than Brands Hatch - end of the country!
  5. Could get either a £30 fine for not conforming to regs, or £60 and 3 points for dangerous parts and accessories. Carry a clear visor an you should be OK. As techno said ^
  6. Just repair and repaint the pod. It's a standard Honda colour I take it?
  7. There is - that's why I got access! Go to home page. Under Honda click on Motorcycles. Select year (any for ST1300 from 2003) then click on ST1300(A) ( http://fiche.ronayers.com/Index.cfm/Mod ... del/ST1300 )
  8. This is an American site, but thought it may be of use to folk (don't know if it's been posted before) http://fiche.ronayers.com/Index.cfm
  9. I do know a few cafe's must be said!! Little Hoody is nearly big enough to ride either of the bikes now!
  10. Sorry, let the side down............ and I didn't mind the coffee today either (and my lad the chip butties!) http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r183/Hoody_photo/Nokia008.jpg http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r183/Hoody_photo/Nokia003.jpg
  11. I find these excellent http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r183/Hoody_photo/motrax_earbud_hdphones_MD.jpg Motrax about a tenner
  12. And the purpose of this statement is what exactly?? Surely it would be better to use the forum as its intended, for YOU to arrange rideouts, not waiting for US to sort things out for you. Total waste of a thread! You grumpy mare!
  13. But with the 2.5% drop in VAT......................
  14. The Rules 1. You ride to the current tag photo. (Keep it in the UK!) 2. You photograph your bike at that location showing both your bike and the object in the photo. 3. You then take a photo of your bike in front of another landmark, geographic location, etc. 4. Post both photo's following the rule. 5. Another rider then must tag your photo. I've nicked the idea from a USofA site I use. They do it by State (some of which are about the size of our country!!). Sometimes there is a clue such as a known monument/landmark. The idea is to get out riding on your bike with a 'purpose'! Oh, and only one tag at a time. Don't post a second one until you have a photo of your bike at the first site, hence the name "TAG, YOU'RE IT!" Anyone wanna play? First one - http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r183/Hoody_photo/Image039.jpg
  15. I have proper custom made ones - they have a filter in them, cuts out nasty noises, but still here what you need to. Had mine 4/5 yrs now - excellent kit.
  16. There are far better tests on the market than Sharp - it is massively flawed by all accounts, testing i n the wrong areas for impact. Provided you have BS or EEU markings (forget the Gold ACU label-it's for racing) then the lid is fit for purpose. As a guidline the more expensive the lid, the better the quality is likely to be. However, some budget lids (sub £100) are relatively good quality. Some folk swear by Arai, some Shoei, others Schuberth etc. Fit is more important than cost. If I were you, I would be looking at HJC lids, good price (even better if you can get a 'deal' on last years colours) and fit most folk. They are safety compliant with current regs. They are a US lid.
  17. I use Pinlock in all my helmets both my own and work (Arai SV/RX7RR/Corsair and Shoei Synchrotec/Multitec) and have never had a problem. The Pinlocks are on a cam. You can turn them around in their holes and adjust the fit of the visor to the shield. I have used other products such as Fog City and find the Pinlock system far superior. When you fit the visor, you need to literally flatten the shield and ease the inner visor into the pegs If you continue to have problems take it into an authorized dealer who should be trained in it's use/fitting.
  18. Whats the weather like over there? I wouldn't recommend w/o proper bike gear. If you must, light weight layers and a water/wind proof outer shell. Wear boots and most importantly GLOVES
  19. Hoody

    Single wire system?

If you have a Can bus system you can't cut into the loom - it may effect no end of operating systems. It should never be tampered with unless you know what you're doing.
  20. At that price make sure it does have a roadworthiness check, full MOT It needs to be in good condition at 13 years old
  21. Get him to MOT it for you. Then when you get it have checked over and change consumables as described tyres etc. Out interest - is it cheap as chips? If not it could turn expensive!
  22. Best way to dry em is to wear em! Either that or leave them in an airing cupboard, not direct heat. Use nix-wax or similar, saddle soap, to keep them supple
