  1. My NOTD is whichever crapturd at Adobe decided to make it impossible to batch convert PSD files to PNG format while maintaining transparency without adding "copy" to the end of every single file name  I now have to go through and manually remove it from 165 files. Cheers Adobe.

You'll probably have to stop every 10 files to install new updates as well

  2. Hello! I didn't want to start a whole new thread for what is possibly a really stupid question and is linked to the above...

One of my headlights has gone, I see Osram are recommended above so did a search on their website for the ones I need and it came back with 64193 (normal) or 64193NR5 (Night Racer 50).

Now these night racers are twice as much on amazon as the Nightbreakers (64193NBU-HCB) but the racers blurb is all bike related with "vibration resistant technology". So the question is: is that a real thing I should get or are the breakers which have a car related blurb ok?

  3. That's literally everything I should of put I could of and if I could of been arsed I would of

    :crybaby: :crybaby: :crybaby:

Oh the other thing that actually annoys me more than all of my previous rant is people who sit in THE SAME OFFICE and send emails to OTHER PEOPLE IN THE SAME OFFICE asking them ONE SINGLE QUESTION. And then THEN!! after they get a reply they send ANOTHER email that literally just says "Dear X, Thank you." As I am copied in automatically on 90% of the emails I have to trawl through all these to get to the stuff I actually have to deal with.

I am aware I may have anger management issues.

  4. *deep breath* people who see you filtering and move closer to the line to deliberately block you, people who change lanes without indicating, people who don't understand roundabouts, people who walk out behind buses without looking, people who see you coming and walk out in front of you anyway, anyone in the middle or outside lane who isn't overtaking something, people who incorrectly use the word "literally", people on scooters who think they get priority over everything because they are narrower, those three wheeled scooters, people who go on the Apprentice, people who work for Foxtons, people who drive smartcars, whistling, people who believe they are morally superior because they don't eat meat and lastly but not leastly people who say could/should/would of.

  5. I sold my 1972 Morris Marina TC (stop laughing over there) 5 years ago and saw her pop up on ebay a while back, sans interior, engine, dash and most of the TC trim and the guy wanted £100 more than he paid me for the whole thing!!

So I get it. And I get your car is a lot nicer than my marina, which made people in the back seasick.

  6. I think we may have a winner for today. Waiting in traffic (single lane entry I am in the middle of the lane) to a mini roundabout. The car in front moves about 2 inches so I stay still. I spy in my mirrors the doofus in the peugeot behind me creeping forward. I knock the bike into neutral because sure enough he just carries on going bumping into my rear wheel.

Rude gestures from me. Apologetic waving from him. He's lucky it was chucking it down or I may have been inclined to get off and have a discussion about how he did not see or hear the big green bike that had been in front of him for several minutes. He thankfully kept his distance after that so fingers crossed he doesn't hit anyone else.

  7. Just keep the revs high and you will see this is a crude way that works and requires less finesse.

The point of the maneuvers mod is to ensure you have full control of the bike at slow speed so you are safe on the roads (pulling out, in traffic etc). It's not really productive to try and "cheat" this section as it's something you will need to be good at in every day riding.

Practise letting the clutch out very slowly until you can feel the bite point and keep your chin up (looking down at the ground will result in a foot down!)

  8. Hmm I remember a certain M Marquez starting from the back of the grid in Valencia in 2012 (in moto2)... think he did alright in the race! That should spur Rossi on!

I'm not really a massive fan of either but I think they are both amazing riders who have achieved a lot and they have both done some rather silly things in the past.

Think Iannone is having a pretty good season :) Glad the Ducati is getting more competitive always better racing when you have a few people who can challenge at the front.

  9. Hi Conks01,

You can go straight in to a DAS (direct access scheme) course which upon completion will let you ride any bike (I don't completely understand the restricted courses but you have to do all the same things so better to do the full one) . You'll need to do a CBT (on a 125), your theory test (lots of helpful practice questions and hazard vids online) then the "big bike test" which needs to be on a larger bike (I can't recall the limit possibly 500?) Most centres use 600s or 650s (Suzuki Gladius / Kawasaki ER6N style)

There's no prior experience needed for the DAS, there are different length courses and when I was doing mine there were a couple of people who went from 0 experience to full licence in 5 or 6 days :)

Can't comment on the Virago but I had a Suzuki Intruder 125 which is very similar and to be honest I think you are going to want a bit more oomph on the motorways because you'll be riding at pretty much 90% of the bike capacity which I found was quite tiring as you don't have the luxury of a bit more power should you need to get past a lorry or the like. I also found my inner thighs were quite sore after about an hour or so riding but that may just be me!
