Anyone watch the German Grand Prix today ? What a load of crap, Felipe Massa moves over and lets Fernando Alonso sail past to go on and take the win completely breaking the rules that dont allow team orders. Fair enough a team has the overall season to look at but apart from Massa being royally shafted its totally unfair on the fans that go to see proper racing. How Alonso can stand on the winners podium smiling holding up his trophy while Massa stands there looking like someone has kicked him in the nuts I dont know.

Ive always had an interest in the war and after watching a program on the tv the other night (Bloody Omaha) I would love to go and see it. I think as the years go on people forget more and more the sacrifice made by so many and the lessons that need to be learned. I know theres a war in afghanistan at the minute and its horrible the number of young lads getting killed and severely injured but its totally unbelievable the sheer numbers of soldiers that were killed in a single day on Omaha beach.

Cheer guys, I was thinkin condensation but that was a wild guess. There was only about 6 or 7 large drops of the exhaust.

Had a bit of a strange one the other day. Had my bike sitting inside our building at work on Wednesday and when I went to go home wheeled it out put it on the stand and when I started it I noticed a bit of a drip coming from the middle of the exhaust. When I put my hand under there was a bit of water but not much and didnt seem to smell of anything. Took the bike home and only got round to taken of the fairings this afternoon to give it a check over and everything seems ok no obvious leaks and the coolant bottles sitting bang on the midway mark. Anyone every seen this before or have any idea what it could be ?

At the risk of sounding really old and boring anyone have a campervan? Been looking at them on the net and thinkin I wouldnt mind getting a VW Transporter T4 Camper with the alloy wheels and modern interior.

Well a new battery and a bit of patients seems to have sorted my problem (Fingers Crossed). Got a new battery and give it a full charge overnight which brought it up to more power than the old one ever had, still took a bit to get her going but a bit of persistance playing with the throttle and choke and she jumped into life after a few false starts. Let her run for a bit and took her a quick run to try to clear any crap out so hopefully thats it sorted, any more problems and I'll leave it into the local bike shop. The bikes cold and it was sitting for a few days and wont start but when I do try to start it it just cranks but wont start and gives a few flashes of flame and a bang from the exhaust.

When I take out the plugs will the petrol evaporate of or will I need to do anything else ?

The WalneyFrankie im going to buy a new battery tomorrow and might buy a new set of plugs while im there.

As said above CBR600F Carb model, kill switch is working ok but dont know how to tell if the fuel pump primes ?

About 10 days ago I stopped of on the way to work at the post office and when I came back out the bike wouldnt start becasue the battery had gone a bit flat, luckly there is a Honda dealer directly opposite and they put it on a booster and got it going again. I took the battery out a couple of days ago and put it on an oximiser to charge and earlier I went out and fitted it again but when I tried to start it it just continued to turn over but wouldnt start. I noticed that as it turned over it give the occasional flicker of flames out of the exhaust, I also noticed that I had left the choke on a bit.

I was thinking about this today in work we have a small sand blasting cabinet in work which is reasonably low pressure and uses a very fine powder so I thought I could maybe use it to give the surface an even sandblast finish ??

If I use the dremel with a polishing head on it will it give a polished mirror finish ?

I need to clean up the heel plates on my bike and would like to have them back to a nice even anodised finish again. Is there anything you can use to get them back to the original finish, I have a dremel but im not sure if I use it if it will leave them as a polished finish ?

Im going to give the handlebars and top yoke a new coat of paint does anyone know what would be the best type of paint to us to get a good finish that will last ?

Need a bit of advise with on few jobs that need I do on my bike so hopefully someone can help. 1. The front forks are a bit pitted and could do with good going over whats the best way to treat this ? Can they be polished ? 2. The rear swing arm is also pitted and it could do with being powder coated is there anything special you need to do before they are powdered ? 3. The bolts that hold the calipers together have a bit of rust on them can this be cleaned / treated or will they need replaced ? Im sure there will be more stuff I'll need answers for

Thinking about renewing the brake lines, chain & Sprockets on my cbr 600 and wanted to know how easy it is and what tools are required?

Well got the bike booked in for MOT on Saturday morning and sods law i've got a hole in the exhaust. There seems to be a bit of a blow out and a small hole at the very bottom of the exhaust just where the four pipes join together so looks like new down pipes. Im going to call in on to the local bike shop (a good trusted shop not main dealer) tomorrow and see what the damage is. Anyone know what I'll be looking at and how quick it can be done ? 2001 CBR 600 FY
