Looking at buying a set of luggage for my CBR 600 and was hoping someone can give me a few ideas on what to go for, im looking for something not to expensive but has to be good quality. I dont expect to use the luggage all that often just for the occassional weekend away. I also wanted to know if you can still take a pillion if you have a set of panniers or if they sit in such a way that the pillion wouldnt be able to ut their feet on the footrest?

Has anyone used Redex or a similar product to clean the injectors on there bike and if so noticed any difference afterwards.

So ive been having a few issues with the bike over the past couple of weeks with it running pretty badly when I start of in first gear and the gears have been a bit clunky. So I decided that even though I know bugger all about bike mechanics I would have a go at servicing the bike myself with a little help from Mr Haynes. Just the general things like filters, plugs, oil, brake pads coolant and maybe a new battery as ive had to charge the one i have a few times. So anyway I was going to go to Halfords to get the plugs oil filter and oil which they didnt have any of anyway but decided to have a quick look at the bike before I went and was completely shock to see no oil visible in the inspection window and no oil visible through the filler hole. Can this be right ??? I only got the bike 6 months ago and they told me they would do an oil and filter change and ive checked under the bike and there isnt any obvious oil leaks, could a dealer be that stupid that they would forget to put oil in and if they are could the bike run that long without letting itself go ???

Since I posted the topic I have seen RST Rift leathers in a bike shop that are £99 for the trousers & £169 for the jacket so I may speak nicely to the wife and get a set tomorrow

Does anyone know of a good website for leathers? Im thinking about buying a 2 piece RST Rift leathers and want to check prices.

I take it the Dyno is only to improve top end ?

Im going to get my bike serviced and just wandered if it would be worth my while getting it dyno'd, its restricted to 33bhp so not sure if the dyno only shows pure power or engine health? I suspect Frankie can help me on this one

I voted for the newer version for the obvious reasons but when I scrolled down and saw the 04 bike I kind of wanted to change my mind but common sense says go for the newer one.

Seem to have a bit of an intermittent problem with my CBR 600, I noticed the last time I was out that sometimes when I stop at traffic light and let the revs of the engine dies a bit and I have to give it a twist to keep it ticking over. I tried to adjust the idle speed a bit which seems to help but the problem only happens sometimes so I think there may be something else causing it. Can anyone think what would be causing this? Would it be something to do with the bike being restricted? The bike has about 20k on the clock and im going to have it serviced but I dont know what sort of service it needs or how much it should cost? Any advise is greatly appreciated

Whats best for your bike chain Wax or Oil I have Wax but I dont like the white finish it gives, is there any advantage to Wax or should I change to oil?

I would go for a good visible disc lock for easy transport and storage. At the end of the day if the scum want your bike it doesnt really matter how you protect it. I think where you leave your bike is also important.

Why not think about a sports tourer which would give you the best of both worlds

I have a 2001 CBR 600 F1 with about 20,000 miles on the clock that didnt come with a full service history. I would like to have it really well servced but im not sure what I should have done or if there is anything I can do myself with a few basic tools and a Haynes manual. I was thinking Oil, Plug, Coolant, brake pads, brake fluid, chain and air filter some of which I may be able to do myself ? Is there anything else I would need to think about ?

Its 2001 CBR 600 F1

Bit of a strange on yesterda and today. Leaving work yestreday pushed the buton on the remote alarm (Meta M357T) and put the key and turned it light came on as normal but they there was a click and it all goes black, a few tries later and a few choice words everything comes back to life and of I go. Riding home from work today just come round a long sweeping corner and the bike dies, pull it up at the side f the road and have to mess around a bit switching it of and on to get it going again. Anyone seen this before???

Thanks Frankie I think the hugger thats on is pretty much the same as the one in the link so hopefully I can cut the ties and rotate it out. Think I might change it for a silver one anyway.

When I went to go to work today on the bike I notice the rear hugger is rubbing really badly on the back tyre, not sure why its happened. I was thinking about changing the hugger to something along these lines http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/New-Honda-CBR-600 ... 240%3A1318 Does anyone know if I have to take the back wheel of to change the hugger or would it slide out if I cut the cable ties ?? Not sure if black or silver would look best on the bike......

I used Photoshop to do the mock ups, not that good at it but I work in the signage trade so I have a bit of an idea how it works.
