    Noisy YBR

I'm going to face my fears and throw myself headfirst into it, just need to buy some spanners and shizz first, the stuff I use on my CX bike is not really that useful for this

    Noisy YBR

thanks I shall give that a go
  3. Cheap and cheerful at only £99 from local bike shop. A bit small on sizing, had to get a sizes two up from my normal jeans/trousers and still felt a bit neat (had to take lining out as well) Well padded and appeared to look like they would be hard wearing. Wore once in the rain and got absolutely soaked, turns out that after 2 weeks and about 50 miles they had ripped in the backside, the crotch and down the hip seam. Needless to say I took them back and changed for something less 'Endurance' but probably better quality and harder wearing Would not recommend!!

    Noisy YBR

I don't think its the exhaust, could it be that the valve clearances need checking/Adjusting? I think I may be better off (as I know sod all about mechanical things, give me a pc or laptop to strip down and repair and I'm happy) either finding someone "Who knows about these things" to take a look or take it to a garage. I was rather hoping that this would be a rather simple beast and that I would be able to learn some hands dirty mechanical things with it

    Noisy YBR

Hi, I'm new to this biking thing so may just be paranoid. I also understand that noise is subjective so I could just be being overly precious. so I purchased a 2011 ybr 3 weeks ago from a second hand dealer (without warranty, they are a fair distance away so I wouldn't be able to get it back to the them if there was a problem anyway and they knocked £200 off ) now I'm guessing its just me but when opening the throttle, the engine just seems overly noisy, it has oil, starts fine, idles at between 1500 and 2000 depending on if it's cold or warm, doesn't seem to lose power (I'm getting 50-65mph I'm a big chap). the noise to me sounds like an exhaust blowing on a car, I've looked it over and can't find any holes but the noise appears to be coming from the front of the engine where the exhaust is. any thoughts or am I just being and over anxious paranoid precious noon?
