Can I advertise this charity ride in the Northern area of another forum? Bikechatforums if anyone's on there.

Cheers, soaked the excess up with old clothes but stupidly hosed the path afterwards. The path is fairly ok but the back lane looks a right mess...

Count me in, providing my heap of junk that has just made an oil slick in the back lane is fixed ontime. I have the 1st -3rd of November off and i'm looking to meet at the Bridge. What time would we be expected to be at the bridge for? Also, anyone got any hints and tips to clean a 2 day old oil/water slick up on a public highway (backlane)?

Bah, rain is nowt....You lot aught to try snow.... Quite interesting blasting through welsh hills in snow showers. Came out looking like a yeti I'm working this and future weekends.

Bah!! Pesky work rota. Don't think I can get the 20th off but I will try. If anyone spots a heavily loaded 05 Silver Peugeot 206SW with a dinted boot wave as it's probably me. YK05... Before work spoilt things and went automated, my patch was North Yorkshire. Fantastic roads round there. £2 entry but I suggest going through Dalby Forest on the Dalby Forest Drive. (need sat nav for the way out tho as it's narrow country lanes) Quite scenic and very isolated. Nice for a small group to escape to. Access is a Left turn in Thornton-Le-Dale (after Pickering on the A170) and the actual forest drive is a right hand turn about a mile or so up that road.
