    At bloody last

Really happy for you mate! Nothing worse than just waiting for something to go through that should be simple Good luck on the move
  2. Was going to quote one or two that I loved the most but really they're all pretty bang on!
  3. Personally I would change my helmet if the lacquer was starting to flake / peel like that but then I always choose to spend more on good quality gear and forget that my bank balance needs to accommodate other things, such as food shopping! If you have the funds to look into a new helmet, wonderful. If not you should be ok for now but my advice would be to start putting pennies to one side if you can..
  4. Out of curiosity, what's the brand?

    David Bowie

Was thinking this morning of watching it again as tribute. Quite a shock on the news this morning, in my head he still seems so young and strong. Very sad news indeed and thoughts with his family and loved ones..
  6. Try and look for that does leather repairs or more so Motorcycle gear repairs. I have one near me that is really good... Just give them a ring before taking the gear in and they should be able to make sure it's strong enough for you
  7. Either (Or both) should have come with both halves of the zip attached at purchase which means that any decent drycleaners / tailors should be able to change one for you. Either that or braces would be a good option... Do you have one complete zip? i.e. the trousers have a zip attached and you have the spare other half.
  8. Get well soon you lovely GoG! You better make a speedy recovery cos the forum isn't the same without you
  9. I've already told the partner it's happening and thrown it in our iCloud calender Sunday.. What time and where? Have to admit I can't remember the food places in the Excel very well as it's been a while since I went (and even then I think it was a GW / Table top games / DnD event)..

    France trip advice

Ohh will be watching this thread with interest! All things I've meant to ask for a while.. Good luck with your trip and little things I've learnt: Make sure you always have waterpoofs and a way to keep your clothes dry.. It's really horrible having to get into wet gear day after day. Spend that extra couple of minutes getting your clothing comfy before you set off. A slight cold draft down your spine or hair on your forehead can drive you mad! Phrase book unless you know the local language Under the bike seat: Tyre puncture kit One of the foil warmth blankets Cheap disposable hand warmers Helmet visor cleaning kit A little waterproof wallet of local currency Not sure if this is helpful at all but.. Yeah
  19. Hahah for Christmas amongst his presents I got him a new Knox back protector and full Kreiga texiles.. Can you see a theme here? He's really keen to get on a bike this year as he hasn't been able to yet, so he's almost the one hauling me out of bed at the crack of dawn to get to these shows! Which I'm loving cos I get to see them all through his eyes with the wonder and excitement that I had when I was just starting biking too So yeah, will be at the Excel for sure as it's not that far from my mams house.. Hoggs, this should be an easy-ish one for you to get to as well!
  20. Ohh! Almost forgot about this! Got some friends who have a stall at it so yeah I'll be going for sure.. Might take the partner as a Valentine treat
  21. I had also heard it was to do with every day knocks and tumbles. Even putting your helmet down on the same table after each ride will add a small amount of damage that will add up over the course of 5 years.. *shrugs* Make of that what you will but I tend to think that several years of the lid maybe rolling on it's side, being wedged on handlebars/wingmirrors, having gloves shoved into the cavity, carrying by the chin strap/ chin guard would weaken it over time. I've been riding 7 and a half years now and had 3 helmets haha, one change through crash damage and one because I just found a Shoei I fell in love with

    Bloody computers.

Apple products are built to be idiot proof.. ... I love my iPhone
  23. To be fair, at least one of the times it closed down was due to being reduced to rubble.. Looking forward to the Burn up this year on the Sprint though.. Hope the guy who was injured makes a full recovery and the car driver is given a real smack on the wrists..
  24. I mainly stopped going to the ace as it was attracting really the wrong sort of show off idiots.. Again exactly as Hoggs has said, it's not the actually Café patrons who tend to do this stupid crap, it's just random 'lads' who turn up to show off. .

    Wow, Big Crash

Jesus Sodding Ouch! What a nonce.. Even if you know the road like the veins on the back of your hand you don't ride like that in case there's something in the road that isn't normally there! Almost seemed like he was completely surprised by the patch of grass! .. Twonk.. Completely agree with Hoggs that someone else could have been seriously hurt if they were anywhere near when he went down.. .. Though that church wall must have hurt like a real B*tch.. Edit: There is also a video further down his wall which has the title "Running out of space? Knee down - No Excuses!".. Little ironic
