No never go out to practice counter steering as its the only way round to get round a corner! You say you probably pushed the wrong way, was that in how you pushed, cos surely if you pushed the wrong way you'd have gone the wrong way

Its not recommended as different tyres will mean different compounds and one maybe harder than the other cant remember which way round its ok tho. Oh and rather than just change the rear why not change the one with the least tread

The op is not a 3 time wsbk champion, i also said that there is nothing to be gained to doing it, as there is with clutchless up changes maybe i stand to be corrected on that Seems the wether or not it will nack anything debate rages on the concensous seems to be that it wont if done correctly however it takes experiance and practice and if not done correctly could find you getting into trouble doesnt seem worth it imo. Ah I see how that explains why ALL racers dont use the clutch to down shift The choice is yours!

Blip as you clutch in blip throttle raises engine revs enough as so when you down change the engine speed matches the wheel speed or something like that so cuts down on engine breaking but also if done correctly sounds good.

Still dont see any advantage from not using the clutch while down shifting and having talked to a mate of mine he agrees but each to there own!

I do it alot going up the gears its a must if am riding one handed and its no problem and takes no time to get used to! I wont even attempt it going down the gears, all Ive ever heard about that is dont do it, it nacks stuff up, am assuming that why you always see racers using a clutch to down shift slipper clutches or not!

Yeh mine pops and bangs like a goodum when i shut the throttle, but my exhaust will do as it did on the blade too. someone did mention tho it maybe running a bit lean, i wouldnt know personally but the guy in question knows a bit and i know from the last dyno mine was but not significantly.

You could change oil now so you know when it was last done and then do it in 12 months, My zx6 did 20000 miles without an oil change was ok, I only mention this as I believe as do others that service intervals for most modern bikes are well over cautious and you shouldnt be scared to miss minor service intervals....but thats also because i dont like paying for 2 services a year. Oh and that was backed up by a dealership. But its all personel choice.
