  1. It's ordered that last night
  2. I've ordered new indicators and got some paint to touch up clutch lever and stand but what's pissed me off the most it the clutch lever has put a dent in tank
  3. Might get away with new bulb and lense on rear but front is completely smashed and hanging off. Luckily there isn't much damage apart from indicators and a slight scuff on clutch. I'll be having words with the parents when I get home tonight. Or I'll just let me very large german shepperd go say hello to them next time they are playing football on my front lawn
  4. Wheeled bike out this morning to take to work started it up and left it on drive. Next doors kids where running about and kicking a football about. Just putting my helmet on and saying goodbye to the Mrs then CRASH that heart breaking noise. Looked out window and all the kids had suddenly gone and bike was laid on its side. Smashed front and rear indicator, very small dent in tank and scuffed clutch lever. Then the thing wouldn't start. Eventually got it started but left side indicators don't work. Had to put it back in garage and take car to work. Not happy at all
  5. Time to stop messing about and get on with this getting a proper bike lark. Booked theory test, booked the next available date so 8am 13th April. If I pass that I'll be popping in to book DAS on the way home
  6. It's likely to be fine... Take some pics of the sprockets, let's have a look how worn they are. It's not difficult but its not much fun either to change a chain and sprockets. Not the best pics, and other didn't realise how dirty it was. There isn't much movement either so I think it needs loosening off if I don't replace it http://i1132.photobucket.com/albums/m570/adamjf1982/Mobile%20Uploads/20170328_182849.jpg http://i1132.photobucket.com/albums/m570/adamjf1982/Mobile%20Uploads/_IMG_000000_000000.jpg http://i1132.photobucket.com/albums/m570/adamjf1982/Mobile%20Uploads/20170328_182846.jpg
  7. It's likely to be fine... Take some pics of the sprockets, let's have a look how worn they are. It's not difficult but its not much fun either to change a chain and sprockets. I'll have to take a pic tomorrow, garage light has gone
  8. Thanks. Think I'll Google it before I try it but worse case scenario I'll bribe my mate into doing it
  9. It's a split link. I'll get one ordered. There isn't actually much wrong with my chain but it's a second hand 2 year old bike and I don't know if it's original one or not so just doing it for piece of mind
  10. I've had my 125 3 weeks and wanted a bigger bike after 10 days.
  11. How easy of a job is it to replace chain and sprocket? Is it do able for some one with basic mechanical ability but knows nothing about bikes or is it best left for a garage to do?
  12. But don't tell everyone. It's still handy sometimes to be able to use the "Scary Biker" card I'm not big enough to be scary (5ft 3) but I've still had some disapproving looks from some elderly ladies when I've taken my jacket off and they see that not only do I ride a bike but I've got tattoos, thinking of shaving my head just to complete the look
  13. Let me know if you come this way I'll join you for a ride out and buy you a brew
  14. I headed out towards humber bridge and turned off through Willerby then found myself in a little village with a farm shop. I didn't see the name was a small cafe/shop. I'm going to try and find my way back there tomorrow. I kind of lost my bearings when I got caught up with the group. First place I stopped was Speedys in Driffield
  15. Went for a ride out today stopped off at a local cafe where I chatted with an old fellow about my bike and his very nice Triumph T120 while we had a brew. Then I carried on my way slowly gaining my confidence in the corners. Got caught up in a group of about 10 other bikes for a few miles. Found myself in a little cafe somewhere but not quite sure where, I just saw bikes outside so popped in and had a chat with a few guys and gals in there. I had no idea that bikers where such a great community, as soon as they see someone else with a bike regardless of engine size they just start chatting. Had a great day on my first proper ride out and everyone I met was really friendly. Although looking back racing the R1 was never going to end well, I was in front for all of 15 seconds while he was stuck at a junction
  16. I'll go have a word with local training place where I did my CBT and get an idea of cost because in the end that's what it'll come down to
  17. Been riding my little 125 for a few weeks and I'm bored, I need a bigger bike. Don't get me wrong I love my little bike and it's great around town but I live in the country so lots of long twisty roads. What's the best way to go? DAS or take some lessons and do it in parts? I've booked my theory already. I've only been riding about 3 weeks
  18. I nominate the Nob head in the blue golf. Leaving town today there is a round about that goes from a 30 into a 40 then into a national limit, I had followed this guy through town he was sticking at 20, fine I thought no rush. Over the round about into the 40 still sat at 20mph, into the national limit he's now doing 30mph, I check my mirrors indicate and go for the over take. I pull out and as I draw level the nob head swerves towards me then drops a gear and floors it matching my speed, I drop back to get back behind him so he slows, I speed up to get in front he speeds up and decides to pull further out now straddling the white line. I managed to pull past and drop in front after what seemed like ages. I had to pull over in the next lay by to gather my thoughts.
  19. Thank you for the replies. I'll be searching the net tomorrow while I get the apprentice to do all the work for me.
  20. I was just looking at them after reading another post on here. A bit out my price range though at the minute I think the Mrs would kill me she's already fed up of the bike and I've only had it 2 weeks
  21. I'm struggling to find a jacket that fits a small is to tight when i wear over anything else but a medium is to big. I was given a jacket and trousers, Jacket is to big but is having to make do for now but the trousers, well I could fit 2 of me in them. I only have a 29 inch waist and 5ft 3in tall/short. Also struggling with boots I'm a size 6. I don't want to go full racing style boot because it look daft when I ride a 125 but I can't keep riding in trainers. Any websites that had a range aimed at the vertically challenged?
  22. I know less than nothing. My mate looked at my chain that I thought was OK and his exact words where "blooming heck that chain is loose as flip how the flipping heck have you managed to ride that flipping thing you flipping silly person" maybe his not exactly words but very similar. Any how, chain was tightened and that's when we found the puncture.
  23. OMG !!! It only gets worse then ? Well I would not know. You see, I had 2 girls (or rather have 2 girls, but they have their own families now). And having girls creates a totally different set op worries for dad... Still, whatever happens, you 're the bad father (mum says)... I've got 2 girls as well but hopefully they are long way off causing me any serious worry they're only 2 and 7. Biggest stress they give me is I didn't get the right outfit for them
  24. Mine should have had his head guard on!!! Mine shouldn't be an idiot
  25. Your situation sounds exactly like mine! Also passed in Jan, it's just getting anywhere to practice as I'm still nervous on the roads... I did my CBT at bowlee which is usually pretty quiet. Planning on going up early at weekend and beating the traffic... Fingers crossed!! Sunday mornings are brilliant, Sunday just gone I went out at 7am and did a 2 hour ride round and only other people I saw on road where bikers
