  1. This isn't my hating on Chinese bikes, I've got one. My lexmoto xtrs is a pig to get into neutral and neutral light stays on in every gear. But..... after a service with new oil etc. It was no problem at all finding neutral. It's coming up to service time again and I've started having issues with neutral Could just be coincidence. I did find that if you roll the bike forward slightly with the clutch slightly out then it would pop into neutral a bit easier. But change your oil, you never know
  2. I've got a lexmoto xtrs 125 and it starts first time every time without using the choke at all. Other day I put the choke on and started it, didn't sound or run any different. So with the engine running i moved the choke to different positions and it doesn't actually seem to do anything. So now I'm wondering is my choke permently on or is it broken and doesn't come on? On tick over the revs are between 1 and 2k rpm
  3. I get that "Not again" look off the wife all the time. I just quite happily chat away about bikes and she just pretends to listen while scrolling her way through Facebook messaging her friends about makeup or babies or what ever crap non bike interested women talk about. I have found that going to bike nights is great because complete strangers will come and start talking about bikes
  4. I shall take as look on amazon, I've just had a look at i2i and there is one not far from me but it's not cheap. I might pop down to training centre and see about a couple of lessons just to build some confidence. The plan is to do my DAS this summer so I want to get this corner confidence thing under control
  5. Thanks guys. I'm going to go out early Sunday morning and just practice on twisty road slightly building my speed up each time until I get to a point where it feels right. Glad to know everyone has felt the same
  6. Went for a ride other day and I was moving nicely along then came to corner just started going round then all of a sudden my brain shouted "NO" and i had force my self not to grab a handful of brake and I backed right off the throttle. As i got round it (slowly) I realised it would have been fine at the speed I was doing and all I'd achieved by slowing down was pissing the car driver behind me off
  7. Only been riding a few months on my 125 and my riding is improving, however my cornering is shocking. I just seem to lack confidence in my cornering. Any advice on how I can maintain my speed while cornering or at least keep a decent but safe speed? I'm not on about hammering it and getting my knee down but maintaining a good speed would be good
  8. Riding down a very narrow winding country road with a 40 limit, coming up to a series of very right blind s bends I'm behind a car who's doing about 20mph then all of a sudden an idiot on a 50cc Crosser decides now is a good time to overtake, he then proceeds to take the blind bends on wrong side of road with both his legs sticking out to the sides. Catch up with him as we enter town, approach a level crossing and barriers start to come down so the Crosser riding cock womble decides to ride around the barriers.
  9. Hi yes it is, best bet is to join the Facebook page.
  10. I think it's because I've been driving for 16 years I didn't count certain things as a hazard. And like you said I think i clicked to early, as soon as a saw a car at a junction I clicked. Next time I'll click as soon as i see it then click again.
  11. Did my theory this morning, only 1 wrong on the questions part but failed the hazard awareness by 1 point. Gutted
  12. That thought had crossed my mind
  13. I'm working near an aldi Wednesday so will grab a load for next time
  14. I wanted the chain wax but the bloody bloke in front of me took the whole box
  15. I used wd40 chain lube. I made the mistake of getting my Mrs to apply the lube (No dirty comments) I held the back end of the bike off the floor and turned the rear wheel

    Rookie error?

I cleaned and lubed my chain Saturday afternoon . Took it for a ride out Sunday then this morning I noticed oil on outside of rear wheel and tyre and all over swing arm. Have I just put to much oil on and it's been flung off? Do I need to clean it all and start again?
  17. To be honest the hardest part of it was getting into the house without the Mrs seeing it all.
  18. Went for a ride out this morning and called into local bike shop for a brew. I'll just had a quick look round shop and ended up buying new jacket, trousers boots and some cleaning stuff. Walked out of shop with my carrier bag. Then it hit me, I'm on the bike, how the hell am I going to get all this home. Had to leave it behind counter and go home to get car
  19. That's the route I was planning on. Never ridden that far so setting off early hoping roads are quieter
  20. Just looked on mapping and it does seem fairly straight forward. I like the look of that holder so think I'll order one anyway since its a decent price then I've got one if I do need sat nav
  21. I'm heading on a ride out to squires for easter egg run next week but never been there before so will need the sat nav on my phone. Anyone recommend a waterproof and secure phone holder that can fit a Samsung galaxy s7?
  22. The plan is not to have it long enough for it to start falling to bits
