Met up with DucatiPaul yesterday in Brighton then took a trip to Eastbourne for the airshow. The ride down was good but took a little longer than expected. With timing in mind and not wanting to miss the Red Arrows we stopped at Beachy Head. As you can see from the pictures, Paul was hit in the head by a Red Arrow!

Shame you couldn't make it Fozzie. Was great meeting up with you Paul. Just realised I'm not going to be able to make the Shoreham airshow Saturday in Portsmouth and Sunday in Bournemouth. Look forward to seeing you again at the Brighton run from the Ace. Will put up my pics later on the rideout section once I've got them all resized!

I think it'd be good to still meet up at 10am so we can get there early incase we can't get parking at the beach. I could come down to Brighton too if you want, just let me know. Do you have access to the contacts section for my number?

Ok, its coming up to the weekend and I'm starting to think about the route. Fozzie, I'll be in Camberley. Do you want me to come up to Uxbridge or are you comfortable with riding down to Camberley yourself? Paul, I'll leave the route from Brighton to Eastbourne up to you as I figured you'd know the best roads to go along. I'll let you know about parking before Saturday.

'kin 'ell - how far do you commute?!! About 35 miles each way and can take up to 1hr 15mins. Sometimes when the weather is hot it'd be nice to have some water to sip on.

I'm sure I've seen cyclists with drinks bottles with an extra long straw but I can't find anything. Was wondering if anyone had seen anything like this for motorcyclists?

She picked it up from it being on its left side. After having dropped mine on the right, I'd personally put the side stand down before lifting to make sure I didn't drop it on the left!!

My previous was a bridgestone BT020. They've been discontinued now and the BT021 has taken over. Don't know how old the last one was but I got about 5k out of it mostly motorway riding

Ok ok, I'm a plane geek! The Eastbourne airshow runs from the 13th to 16th of August. I'll definately be heading down on the 16th as the display is usually good on the final day. Lots of planes including red arrows, eurofighter and F-16 amongst others. Oh, did I mention its free! Not sure on parking as I've only been in the car before but I'm planning on getting there early so I can ride to the seafront to see if I can get parking there. If not, it's a bus ride from a car park a few mins away from the beach (costs a couple of quid). Being on the beach I'm planning on bring my swimming shorts and rubber ring if the weather is good too! http://www.eastbourneairshow.com/

If you're looking at the sporty 125's look at the Yamaha R125 - I had one as my first bike and loved it! Bit expensive though.

Are you not going to MFN Andy? I was thinking of heading up there on the Sunday weather depending. If the weather doesn't look that good I'll be up for coming along to this. Will be in Camberley so if you're riding up I can give you a nice route to go.

Very good RT! I'll remember that one for future! In the meantime though I bought some scholl foot odour spray stuff. Fired that as far up the glove as possible and seems to have done the trick to an extent (I can take the gloves off without getting K.O'd by the smell!). As a side effect, the glove also stays a lot drier when riding and the inside layer doesn't scrunch up when I take the glove off!
