  1. All 4 are sparking Colin so am a little confused. I don't know how pronounced the park should be. Am going to test the coils this morning to see if they're ok.
  2. Was wondering how long it'd take Gary !! No problem, hopefully someone will have something I can try....
  3. Can anyone help I'm only learning at the moment so please be patient with me! Bike is a Bandit 650. Tuesday morning turned bike on, warmed up for about 5mins, rode about 2 miles, slowed down to about 30 from 50 and heard popping from engine. Came to a stop and the engine cut. Managed to get it going and back home. Bike was idling at about 500rpm when it normally is at 1300rpm. Sounded a little quiet so thought it wasn't firing properly. I've changed all spark plugs. Still not working. Checked all plugs and they are sparking. Funny bit was that when replacing the plugs, out of the old ones (1 being left hand side 4 being right hand) plugs 1 and 4 were filthy but 2 and 3 were pretty clean in comparison. Not sure if this is indicative of something. *edit* There is a strong smell of petrol so I'm assuming that at least one cylinder is still not firing properly. *edit2* When testing to see if there was spark, when number 1 was disconnected to test, the engine sounded a lot better. Any ideas much appreciated
  4. Nice post Pete. A lot of good information there.
  5. Got back last night absolutely knackered. Nice ride down with Firestorm and some of his friends (nice bunch!). I've never seen so many bikes in one place! Lovely day out. Found out I can't walk very far in the bike boots though! Pics to follow this evening. Shame I couldn't stop to see MK, Jin, Fozzie n Skittles for longer.
  6. I'll certainly meet you all at Pease, I'll be leaving from Harrow so will try and get in touch with firestorm to meet at hillingdon. Are you all on the contacts list?
  7. Cheers Bogof! I have both so should be able to help him out adjusting the chain.
  8. Does anyone know what the torque wrench setting is for the marauder? My mate has one but the service manual that came with it (second hand) is in German! **Edit - even better would be if anyone knows the size of the socket needed for the bolt on the rear wheel too!
  9. Not me, out with the inlaws tomorrow at the beach. The weather better be good!
  10. Jin, you gonna meet people at the Ace then? I've pm'd my number to Riff. I'll be coming up past you so can meet you at Target Roundabout if you like and ride on down to the ace from there?
  11. And a couple more. I believe Paul may have some to come aswell.
  12. Met up with DucatiPaul yesterday in Brighton then took a trip to Eastbourne for the airshow. The ride down was good but took a little longer than expected. With timing in mind and not wanting to miss the Red Arrows we stopped at Beachy Head. As you can see from the pictures, Paul was hit in the head by a Red Arrow!
  13. I'm putting my pic up as pic of the day! Hope you like!
  14. Can't see the pics and the link doesn't seem to work! Look forward to seeing them though!
  15. Looks like you guys had a good rideout. Nice pics!
  16. Shame you couldn't make it Fozzie. Was great meeting up with you Paul. Just realised I'm not going to be able to make the Shoreham airshow Saturday in Portsmouth and Sunday in Bournemouth. Look forward to seeing you again at the Brighton run from the Ace. Will put up my pics later on the rideout section once I've got them all resized!
  17. I think it'd be good to still meet up at 10am so we can get there early incase we can't get parking at the beach. I could come down to Brighton too if you want, just let me know. Do you have access to the contacts section for my number?
  18. Thats not good Fozzie, hopefully all will be ok, give me a shout tomorrow night to let me know what you've decided. Paul, meeting up at Pease is fine, I'm assuming 10am will be early enough to get there for 12pm?
  19. Ok, its coming up to the weekend and I'm starting to think about the route. Fozzie, I'll be in Camberley. Do you want me to come up to Uxbridge or are you comfortable with riding down to Camberley yourself? Paul, I'll leave the route from Brighton to Eastbourne up to you as I figured you'd know the best roads to go along. I'll let you know about parking before Saturday.
  20. 'kin 'ell - how far do you commute?!! About 35 miles each way and can take up to 1hr 15mins. Sometimes when the weather is hot it'd be nice to have some water to sip on.
  21. cheers Pete & Josh those ones look good. I know a ride isn't a ride without a few stops but don't class commuting as a proper ride!
  22. I'm sure I've seen cyclists with drinks bottles with an extra long straw but I can't find anything. Was wondering if anyone had seen anything like this for motorcyclists?
