  1. Told ya!!!! aha, yup, you were spot on matey! Best thing was, on the test, i got taken to a wee side street, 5mins from test centre were we done the u-tuen and controlled stop. So was glad to get it over and done with. Managed to lose the examiner at one point to in the nationals
  2. Got to agree re fit. However, Expensive isn't always best. I now have 2 Box BX-02 helmets. They got a rating of 4 on the sharps test and several others tests. Well thought of. And the best thing. I paid £40 for one, and the most recent £15 from an ebay shop thats shutting down
  3. All done and dusted. Passed my test last week Flew through the u-turn and can now do them on the money aswell. Must be because the pressures off! Thanks for all the advice folks, Its certainly paid off

make sure your mixture isnt running too rich either. Thats another cause
  5. is the back end dipping when you try to pull away? It sounds like a fuel issue to me, Maybe clen the carb out
  6. yeah, just a pity it redlines about 14k lol
  7. Great idea, but unfortunately its a communal stairway, i share it with three other houses, 2 of them would be fine with it, but 1 who is a mid aged couple would just moan, they moaned about me parking my 125 out the front and aprently revving it late at night...WTF the latest i ever went out was 8pm to work, and had to use the choke, when i come in after a lateshift, i turned it off and pushed it up to the parking spot. Can't wait to see their faces when i appear with the sv! lol
  8. Cheers guys. Yeah it is going to be for daily use. I thought about making my own, but for materials etc it'd prob be about the same as buying one about £50
  9. because im keeping my bike outsid, i'd rather get it around the back of the house so it can get sheltered rom the road. problem is. i need to get it up 3 stairs, i struggled with a 125 so the sv is gonna be a no-go. so been looking at ramps. are they reliable/safe etc?
  10. Don't be daft rick. All entitled to our opinion. The guys im with i can trust, theres only one other place within reasonable travellin distance and they apparently are complete cowboys. Just want to get the test over with then have a bit of fun, then a bit of further training
  11. I'll give the guys their dues, the they said if thats what it takes to pass me then thats what i need to do. They are trying to get me my test asap but need to get my u-turns spot on first. got another lesson tomorrow so all goig well with the u-turns, i'll get a test date
  12. Guess i'm too late! Cheers rick
  13. once i pass i'll never be doing them again! lol I have been using a combo of throttle, clutch and rear brake, the school aint too happy at me using the brake, because its burns out quicker! lol I've seen posts about people counter balancing by shifting half their backside off of the seat, dont know if it would work tho considering im 70kg and the bike is about 180kg lol
  14. Its the only thing thats stopping me going for my test just now. I had half a lesson doing just u-turns last week on the 500. Got them perfect. Then was practicing on my wee 125 and i am really struggling. I think my big problem is i am leaning in with the bike causing it to over lean and begin to fall. Is there any advice you guys and girls can give me to help?
  15. rip off. I only paid the ebay amount, granted tho, it took about 4 working days to get to me
  16. There ya go. Don't say i aint good to ya! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0116858754
  17. Erm, yeah if you so desire. Or you could strp them to the exhaust and cook them on the way there lol The helmet carrier is just a pouch, Its connected to the bag and comes out the bootom. Pop you lid in it, then it clips to the top of the bag. Its a decent size
  18. Most certainly is! lol In all honesty, If you're hunting for one and not wanting to spend mega money this is great. Ive been using it all week. Really heavy rain a couple of times. No probs at all. Got a big rain cover that comes over it and the space inside is tremendous!
  19. I thought the same. Its almost like pen holders. Can't be tho. Theres one of them inside
  20. Yup, thats the one. Sorry i didnt put the link in Well chuffed with it!
  21. My good lady bought me one of these for my christmas. Wasnt expensive, about £20. And for the money if is fantastic! It has more compartments than you can think what to do with. even includes a lid holder which clips onto the bag, and a waterproof cover. I am quite chuffed with it considering i've had my old one for 11years! So if anyone is in the market for a new backpack, defo consider this one (p.s. i am in no way attached to the company, just wanting to share my thoughts with likeminded people )
  22. Don't use allen keys mate. Use allen bits that you can put onto a socket then a wrench, Some wd40 and a few wacks with a hammer normally help. If you do do it yourself remember and make sure the oil pressure is ok. ALl you do is undo the inspection bolt (bottom right of the three pictured) and let the engine run, no longer than a minute. Hold a cloth near the opening as oil should spout out
  23. you got arms thats what they used b 4 indicators......might be a bit dangerous though ....... LOL yeah i know. But my bike control isn't erm quite up to scratch so dont want to complicate it more and end up eating concrete! I bought a 21w flasher unit from halfords. Seems to be working ok, although its peeing it down so just checked to make sure it worked!
  24. Yeah theres a couple. But they dont tend to stock motorbike stuff. WHo wouldve thought a relay would have been so hard to get! lol What would happen if i put in a relay with a higher wattage? would it affect how the signal worked?
  25. Yeah i seen that bill, cheers. I was hoping to try and get one local because i have only managed to get my bike 100% and on the road today, wanting to practice tomorrow again. But cant with no flashers! lol
