  1. Bookmarked that, cheers! I think I've seen that site before but I thought it was just fiches - scrolled further down this time!
  2. I just bought some red LED strip for my GIVI top box brake light, that should be ok shouldn't it?
  3. Woo! Found it on your link! http://shop.wemoto.com/pictures.dyn?u=1914537qqq5828705 EDIT: Ordered. Cheers to SP, nuts to the robbers on ebay!
  4. Kawasaki Zephyr 550 (B2) They seem to be like rocking horse...etc
  5. Short story, my float bowl gaskets have stretched (must have reacted to carb cleaner or something?) Anyway, since they seem to be 22 quid each and I need 4, I am looking at my options. Current best (?) idea is to use a liquid gasket, fill the 'channel' the ring style gasket sits in with a bead of it and wait for it to set a little before putting the bowls back on (otherwise I can see myself having half a bowl full of sealant just waiting to block the jets). Can anyone recommend a liquid gasket that isn't silicone based and doesn't react to petrol? Or does anyone have any better solutions? Cheers, Alex.
  6. amazing, will no doubt be needing a few of these in future!
  7. I could take it with me and use it in the 'Road Rash' style? http://www.gamershell.com/static/screenshots/5998/227387_full.jpg
  8. Got it - I thought a rivet link was called a split link too... I do have a continuous chain in the garage, not too sure what to do with it.
  9. Ok...how do you get a new chain on without a split link - you'd have to take the swingarm out surely? I suppose it's not a major inconvenience...
  10. I nod, raise my right hand or stick my leg out unless I'm close to coming off halfway through a corner! I also wave at anyone and everyone who looks long enough but especially old people and young kids - I think it's good to show respect to the elderly and some kids really seem to like bikes and giving them a wave seems to make their day! Basically, I try to be the opposite of the cruiser stereotype.
  11. Anyone think Redex actually does anything? Considering sticking some in my latest bike...
  12. http://metcheck.com/V40/UK/FREE/today.a ... ughborough ? While I'm here, not Sunday as I'll be travelling back.
  13. I'll be up there Fri/Sat/Sun, free evenings (After 5ish) if anyone wants to meet up and show me some good roads!
  14. Aaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! (I love this style!)
  15. Do you still want to go to the Ace? If so, I'm willing to pick you up - I'm riding somewhere tomorrow anyway.
  16. Might be up for this, depends on if my bike is working properly by then!
  17. Yeah that happened to me...I just taxed it and told the guy to send me it! Technically, I don't think I was legal to ride it, but I did as soon as it was 'taxed'. You won't show up on an ANPR camera, and if I was unlucky enough to be stopped and had the receipt I would like to have thought I'd be ok.
  18. You don't need a cover note, you just need to be on the MID. Once that is done, you can tax it online.
  19. You'd probably be ok with a Zephyr cable (seeing at it is also a Kawasaki ZR) - they're all approx the same length I'd imagine - the Zephyr one has a metal bit about 2 inches long at the engine end though, check if yours does. If not, look for one that looks like yours I suppose!
  20. There's an open and close cable, so yes that's right. Should be fairly easy to replace, but you might have to/want to take the tank off
  21. Actually depending on the bike you may not have a bar to adjust, in which case skip straight to option B
  22. Yes, undo the locking nuts then screw the bar in to shorten it - then re-do the lock nuts! You can also take the whole thing off the gearbox spline as just move it round.
  23. How do you think helmets get to the shop?
