  1. Lol just clocked that it's too early for me to be posting shite I think
  2. Muttly is this qb motorcycles by any chance that u bought it from?
  3. Yes anything g with an m on it and blue sign is classed as motorway. For what it's worth I don't like using motorways anyway bore me to tears. I'm off to Brighton from nr Birmingham later this month and it will be a roads all the way for me.
  4. I'm a big fan of the extreme lube too minimal fling and great coverage. A can seems to go a long way
  5. Don't be put off by the size difference totally different bike but very capable single loads of torque. Wife and I love my 25bhp himalayan no issues, sure not quick but speed isn't the aim. I'd defo say like other test ride it first
  6. Northampton but Im a big fan of the super sausage!
  7. Piggy, If you ever want a meet up to go for a blast you're more than welcome to cast your eyes over the himalayan and it's a great excuse for me to escape the trouble and strife!
  8. Lovely headlights. Or cooorrrrrrr as sid james would have said
  9. Piggy I've had one since least March. I'm not regretting the purchase at all, 2 quality issues being resolved via warranty clocks misting up and poor paint quality on the pannier rack. The quality on the bike itself has been fine just the aftermarket rack doesn't seem to have the same quality paint. But dealer sorting no quibble. The engine is great ideal for commuts and longer trips done a weekend to Devon with luggage and wife on the back no issues. It is 24.5 horsepower but torquey. As long as ur in no rush to get anywhere its fine and was just what I was looking for 5.5k miles and v happy. Feel free to pm me if you need anymore info
  10. I guess it's like the beak they put on a lot of adv bikes more cosmetic than anything I'd imagine but does keep a lot of the crud off the headlight
  11. However nice and clean, fuelled and ready to go!
  12. I was hoping to get out on the bike, cleaned to within an inch of its life yesterday! Wife is struggling with arthritis this week so a leisurely drive out in the car the the Clee Hills in Shropshire instead. A few kestrels and red kites flying around, great day, better on the bike tho
  13. Dunking it in a cup of tea as well?
  14. That's why they did away with consentual searches it was a fishing trip for the police. They have to have the grounds now
  15. Should be OK with a leatherman I don't think it's a locking blade. Good multitools!
  16. You can view pnld a police site which tells you about offences their points to prove and lawful excuses or defences
  17. Not unless it's for use in your trade. I. E. A butcher, but even then if stopped by the police it could be justified if you were taking from home to work and vice versa. However if you had it with you on way to somewhere else it would be hard to justify. Another lawful excuse would be 'officer I just found it and was on route to the police station to hand it in'. In short not worth it, you would most likely be locked up if stopped by the police and questions asked afterwards on Interview. My dad was a bugger for taking his pen knife out with him. It was less than 3 inches but a locking knife so an offensive weapon per se. Just stick to a 3inch folding blade
  18. I filter a lot living in the West mids everywhere is gridlocked at rush hour. However I filter slowly usually in 1st gear. My himalayan sits a bit higher making me more visable and being a single they can normally hear me. I always make sure I'm travelling slow enough to stop should someone pull out. You see people filtering quickly and I don't think it's worth it. Watch out for side roads, slip roads and parked cars. Happy filtering!
  19. I've got a 4l container of rhino goo I use, spray it on neat and leave for 10 mins then coven in demon foam go over with a sponge and rinse off gets the crud off really well. I like the rhino shine stuff too, bike looks great. Not the cheapest products but works out cheaper in the bigger containers and cleans up a treat. It's all personal choice but I've found this a good trade off in price and how good it is
  20. Link? My garage is rather cold and I suspect why my chains turn horrible quickly... I only use the pressure washer to spray snow foam on my bikes (from a distance) They actually get washed by the hose. Try the below link, it's gone up in price but there are other sellers on ebay https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F183597245044
  21. I'm a convert with the dryer now especially this time of year, only paid £46 on ebay and is solidly made
  22. Tmmi guess it depends on many factors but for me again Hastings they were really good when I changed bike too
  23. Yes my wife has downloaded it too, yet to watch it though
  24. Here is the rough cost for me bought my RE Himalayan last year for £4100 on the road £499 for the hard alu cases. Since then I have paid £5.99 for a mobile phone holder and case, £39.99 for handlebar protectors, £7.29 for an iridium plug, £10 for some royal Enfield wheel logo transfers £200 for supply and fit of heated grips and optimate smart USB charger. The only thing extra I'm looking to purchase are £20 mirror risers £80 custom screen and £250 gel seat. I plan to keep the bike long term as its a real war horse and the stuff mentioned is to Improve comfort really, the mirror risers and screen will reduce wind buffeting the grips seat and protectors are a warmth and comfort thing the usb charger practicality and let's me connect the optimate charger too. The iridium plug makes the bike marginally smoother on low revs and less warm up time. I try to justify the cost as I plan to keep the bike for many years, it's affordable and adds to the pleasure so I'll be using it more! I think you have to base it on cost affordability and if you plan to keep your bike. But I guess if I was stinking rich I'd just buy whatever made me happy
