2014? You sure that was me? I do remember you on here. I've picked up an old Honda Varadero, long story but only bought it as my work commuter car had broken down and my mate had the bike for sale. Turns out it's not to be to be fair, just nice to get back on two wheels again. Did you ever get the insurance sorted out?

I joined back in 2009, been off 2 wheels for a while but just picked up a heap of junk to get back out on the road. Everything's too expensive these days. Is it still the same people running this forum? Good to see its still going

The nearest and cheapest hotel is the IBIS Neil, I'm sure they used to charge £30 for overnight parking, not sure if that's reduced if you're staying at the IBIS

I've been to Wembley a few times mate, parking is next to the stadium, I can imagine blue badge will get the closest spaces. It's closer than the tube station

I was planning to give you a comprehensive answer but, when I got round to asking the Vietnamese, I could not understand their responses. So, to date. 23% of all those in the UK who answered are OK; 7% of French; 87% of Italians; those in the car park 'smoking area' are all OK; etc. etc. Oh, and I am reasonably OK (does that count?). You never asked me Al!

Fitting TomTom to bike
RiffmasterII replied to Phooey's topic in Clothing, Luggage, Accessories and Security
That would be excellent mate. It comes with a RAM mount so hopefully I'll just need something to fit into the stem. Just so I know that we are talking about the same thing here, the stem is the bit in the middle of the top yoke, just below the ignition barrel, where I have a shinny chrome, domed cap nut. So if I understand this correctly, I replace that cap nut with something that my RAM mount will attach to. Is this right? You need one of these...... http://www.ram-mount.co.uk/motorcycle-f ... 8_286.html And I may have a spare arm to attach the satnav to this in the garage, will get back to you asap -
Fitting TomTom to bike
RiffmasterII replied to Phooey's topic in Clothing, Luggage, Accessories and Security
I struggled getting my Tom Tom Rider fitted to the ZZR. Needed two parts in the end, one bolt to fit in the stem that had a ball joint on the top. Then a Ram Mount that attached the sat nav to the ball, when I get a minute I will dig it out of the shed and take some photos -
You couldn't make this shit up!
