Thanks that would be great. Any info on what the levels are and at what distance would be very handy. I actually have an sound pressure level (SPL) meter for my job. That will give me a dB readout. I haven't been able to find anything specific out either, just that the noise must be 'reasonable'. Im almost certain that there is a level that is deemed reasonable, get yourself a reading and let me know. Dont stand next to your bike to do it obviously, stand a similar distance away similar to your neighbours boundary

if the council need to gain access to your property they well just get a court order. and you can be kick out of your own home but thats something only the courts can do The most likely outcome IF somebody was causing a nuisance through noise would be a ASBO (similar to an CRASBO but civil rather than criminal)

The council may give your neighbour a device to measure the sound, there is a preset limit that you allowed to be under at reasonable times, I will get all the details for you and PM it to you. You might be able to get hold of a meter yourself and measure the noise level, at the end of the day if your using a road legal exhaust then you should be fine. just write back to the council after you have measured yuor noise level and tell them to wind their necks in, but in a nicer way. Im heading from Bognor Regis up to ACE then down to Brighton, meeting Jill (clashfan) in Brighton as she cant be arsed with the ride (bloody weekend rider!) Anybody else up for this?

I’m going to plan a trip for next year, its still early days yet but I’m looking at heading to Prague then going around the ring a few times on the way back. If anybody fancies coming along I’m more than happy for any further suggestions. Will be looking at around May / June sort of time, will probably do a 5 or 6 day trip......bigger trip later in the year. Anybody interested?

I passed by CBT and walked away thinking that I didnt like riding bikes, luckily I had my DATS booked for the next day, got on a CB500 and loved every second of it
