I dont know if there's any rule about the amount you can have, all I know is that my mechanic man tells me that he wouldnt risk it for the sake of another £100 for a new tyre, and I trust him as he doesnt make any money from doing the work on my bike. Its your call and Im sure it would be fine with a plug, I did one myself to get me home on to save forking out £140 to join the AA at the road side and its lasted for days until I could get a new tyre delivered.

its very easy to plug your own tyre, but ive been told not to bother as its a risk riding on a tyre for too long at high speeds with a plug

Funny you say that, not sure if I told you but the day after we get bike Im heading off to Prague on my bike! might have to bring my bike gear with me if I cant find anywhere to store it!! Dont suppose you know anybody that lives near Heathrow that would let me store my bike and gear with them for a week do you? I dont mind paying a parking fee!

Anybody up for a ride out this weekend? I thought we could start off at Bury hill, then slide all the way down it to a field near by, fall off out bikes then try and stand them up. Fall over again a few times and smash the hell out of our bikes, get really annoyed and start swearing at the snow, then kicking it then having a long walk home leaving our bikes in a ditch somewhere. Pace will be non existent Let me know

Very good advice which I wish I had got before "breaking down" half way across a round about one day, only to find that fumbling around with my bike for a few seconds before my bike come to a complete stop, that I had run out of fuel!
