  1. :stupid:

I have started to do this in my everyday riding particularly if the road conditions are favourable

Balls on pegs   , shift ass off the seat to inside of bend and

    weyhey!!!

For me it feels much better at higher speeds than leaning with my knees clamped to the tank and you can accelerate through the bend better

I dont put the knee down though.

I first did this on a clear roundabout

  2. I have a Bering jacket which is a three in one and covers winter, spring and summer.

I used it to go to Vickis in Hull

Left the linings in as I thought going north it would be cooler..............Wrong!!!!

It has vents and without the linings its great in hot weather.

Not really tested it in the rain yet though as I dont like getting my bike wet if I can help it.

Maybe next year when I get a GSXR

    P.S

OBVIOUSLY........ mines not a ladies one

  3. lol Rags

    She not for sale hun

No way not even if I was desparate for the cash

If I get another bike Ive already decided Im gonna run the two :D

    Day out was excellent

I spend a lot of the time riding on my own which I enjoy, but theres nothing like riding with others

Thank Anand a good day in all :thumb:

  4. Mines a 2005 Silver Skoda Octavia 1.9 Diesel

70K on the clock 67K when I purchased it at the start of the year

returns anywhere between 58-72mpg on motorways at 80ish depending on whther Im going up or downhill and wind direction

Ave combined MPG was 41.2 but is now 47.2 due to long distances travelled

Have to have it for work as I am a surveyor and have to carry telescopic ladders and various opther bits of kit for work

Replaces my 2000 freelander which I had modified for off rodeoing and was I might add, very capable

Got rid of it as it was always wanting some kind of attention which was a huge drain on my wallet :(

Always use the bike instead of the car when I get the opportunity :D

Hoping to be able to save enough dosh with the new car to get a second bike

    EDIT

    P.S.

I have a red TMBF sticker in the rear window just in case you happen across me on my travels

  5. Any one up for meeting up?

I haven't been out recently what with the Flu and having to do my assignment.

Flu's all gone assignment has to be in on Friday 8th so I will be free for a while from the Study Shackles and was hankering after a day out.

Wondered if any one is interested in meeting up somewhere. Weather permitting of course.

Haven't got a clue where to meet or where to go. So its up for discussion :D

  6. Seems a lot of work and hassle for some extra shiny bits

Id go with the paint you bought

Probably just needs a blerry good stir

Try on some scrap metal first

At worst if you dont like the results you can always strip it down and start again.

Not sure on the wax for the wheel

Did you try the manufacturers from the video?

Failing that I am wondering if car polishing compound will do the same thing? EDIT or even conventional chrome polish?

  7. Aha! Now I've found a fab jacket - Teknic Venom Jacket! It's leather, has knox armour in the shouders, elbows and of course a back protecter and its quite the looker too :)

    Looks alright I guess.
