  1. You may laugh about not being able to spell stop...
  2. I know the post is a bit old but I’d be up for a ride out if it was arranged and I’m free
  3. Was thinking the other day I’ve not seen your name on here for a while but I’ve never spoke to you so never questioned it
  4. No idea why someone would steal your gear lever but thanks for the link to that site my local Honda dealer has been useless in helping me when all I’ve wanted was a £14 part!
  5. Enjoying the Peak District over the weekend, bikes still not reached 1000 miles yet
  6. Been for another ride into the Peak District today, weathers certainly getting better!
  7. I had been itching to get out myself, sun was out Saturday morning so I went for it and what a great time I had spending my day blasting around the local countryside!
  8. Welcome, sounds like you have the perfect bike for what you want, do you just find it too heavy? I used to have one myself and it’s quite a lump of a machine but I’m also probably younger and heavier than you so it was never really a problem I just switched for a sports tourer as I like to go out and ride all day when I get the chance.
  9. I have heated grips on both my bikes and I can only imagine that heated gloves would do a better job, heating the full hand rather than the section that you grip with.
  10. I’ve heard people say it’s the most terrifying thing they have ever done, makes me want to try it! Wanted to ride the Vegas zipline but apparently it’s closed during our time there
  11. I didn’t plan the trip I have to be honest but it’s me, my girlfriend, her mum and sister. I asked for the details of what we are doing and this is the reply I got... Monday 15th April fly to San Francisco and stay at the Argonaut for two nights Wednesday 17th drive 2 1/2 to Yosemite national park, spend the day there and stay at Tenaya Lodge that night. Drive to Death Valley.....about 5/6 hours, staying at The Ranch at Death Valley, having a look around in the morning then driving to Vegas (2 1/2 hours) and staying at the golden nugget (Friday 19th, sat 20th) hopefully going to the Grand Canyon on Saturday! Driving to Anaheim on Sunday and staying at the Sheraton Park hotel overlooking disney Sunday and Monday night Tuesday we fly to Orlando! Hopefully want to pull in Hollywood whilst in LA, so either go there before Anaheim or on our way to the airport! In Disney we’re staying at the animal kingdom lodge kidini village until Friday 3rd of May, then going to vero beach for two nights before flying back and Sunday 5th, land Monday morning After the two nights in SF we then have a car on hire until we fly to Orlando (Ford Expedition XL) we had one last year when we did New York to Orlando and we loved it! Checked out most the accommodation I’m looking forward to the golden nuggett as I believe it has a water slide which goes through a shark tank and it’s own casino!
  12. We are doing the opposite, San Francisco to LA we have Yosemite national park, Death Valley, Vegas and Hollywood planned in as well so won’t be the most direct route but I can’t wait!
  13. I wanted an MT-09 but wanted to be able to take a pillion with me when I wanted and I wanted a bit more wind protection than a naked bike gives so I went for the tracer 900 (shares the same engine) and I love it
  14. Looks more like someone has slipped with a tyre lever to me rather than accident damage
  15. A lad I used to work with wrapped his exhaust in this stuff to try and keep the heat from his legs, commuting to work his exhaust didn’t last long before it rusted to pieces creating a rather large hole. Although in your case I think you’ll be fine as I can’t imagine the bike seeing much water/salt if any.
  16. I mainly install steel security doors and fire doors (go to many places you wouldn’t know existed without doing such a job!) Moved into the timber market as well around 18 months ago so also install a lot of timber security doors as well as fire doors. Also after the whole Grenfell tower situation a lot of buildings such as schools wanted their fire doors inspecting so I got qualified to be a fire door inspector which not only gives me something else to put on my cv it also brings in a lot more work doing the inspections, fixing problems or completely replacing door sets. I’ve got experience doing roller shutters, sectional doors and garage doors etc but I much prefer the hinges door side of things.
  17. Well there’s good news and bad news, bad news is one of the lads I work with, his van’s turbos blown and due to the mileage it looks like it won’t be getting repaired... good news is it’s the same model as mine but slightly older so I’ve swapped the headlights over and it works fine again
  18. Problem is I’m shipping it to Dublin on Monday to work over there for a few weeks and flying home for the weekends so it’s going to be a while before I can get it checked out at a dealer, couldn’t of happened at a worse time to be honest!
  19. I have a Peugeot boxer van 17 Plate and the drivers side headlight has dropped very low and when stood next to the headlight you can hear it buzzing as if it’s trying to level itself and somethings seized? Was wondering if anyone knows of a simple fix to this problem? It’s still under warranty so can go to the dealer if need be but it’s just finding the time to take it and be without it etc. Thanks in advance
  20. They’ve basically sent you home with a ticking time bomb this is ridiculous!
  21. Travelled the east coast of America from New York to Florida over a 3 week road trip, one of the best experiences of my life. Got the mrs into riding bikes and through her cbt so welcomed not one but two Honda groms to the garage so we can ride together. Traded in the CB650F about 6 weeks ago for a Tracer 900, made the perfect choice in my opinion. Finally booked next years holiday, another 3 week trip going to San Francisco, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and everywhere in between before flying over to Florida again to finish it off
  22. I’m with the others you should wait for better weather and retake then, there’s absolutely no fun riding in this weather and it’s only getting worse at the minute. Otherwise I hope your ok and aren’t defeated.
  23. That was a local job My vans done 80,000 miles and it’s only 20 months old!
  24. Bill smiths is definitely a blink and you’ll miss it kind of place. That Elliot’s field place is awful I fitted all the security doors on the rear of the units, constant call outs from staff breaking doors by wedging them open or ramming their trolleys into them constantly!
  25. Bill smiths is always worth a stop off when passing Chester, during the summer there was a catering van too, not sure if it’s there at the moment. Although if your after clothes and accessoires J&S Northwhich is massive and the food is even better. Can’t think of any more of the top of my head.
